200 amp in a box, the 20 minutes mix chanllenge!

So, long story short, a friend of mine (home recordist like me) swear only by amp and challenged me to record something with the axe 2 saying is tube amp setup was WAY easier to dial in and axe fx sound So fake bla bla bla...(i know right...)

so, 20 minutes later, i sent him this,

2 hours laters, he sold the tube amp and is saving for and axe fx 2

LOL



1st part is me trying to copy a mesa mark iv,
2nd part is kinda recto (fas modern 3)
3rd part is both blended into a mix

i did an improv with the Shiva (since its the AOTM)

let me know what you guys think!

that phone call he did to me after hearing the clip and asking a bunch of question on the axe 2 was PRICELESS!


p.s. the bass is actually my guitar, down-pitched with the axe-fx 2... i forgot to tell him that! lol

Really liking that Mark IV-ish thingy, haven't really been able to dial in a tone with the Mark IV that sounds good when tuned down low but that one seems to do it, care to share?

yes it is double tracked! hard paned
