2 different Axe III's with Axe-Edit?

I have the Axe-FX II XL+ and the Axe-Fx III mkII. On the occasion when I have another guitarist in my studio we can work at the same time and build sounds because the Axe-II and Axe-III run on different versions of Axe-Edit which I have open at the same time.

Can I run 2 Axe-III's off Axe-Edit at the same time? If not and they are both plugged into the same computer how does Axe-Edit decide which Axe-III it will communicate with?

You can choose which device to connect to from the editor.

Or you can run 2 instances of Axe-Edit.

Thanks! I did a search but maybe didn't hit the right keywords.

Looks like best way on MacOS is to switch between units rather than try to run them at same time. That's works for me and is a nice bonus feature, thank you Fractal.
