šŸ”„Introducing the new AM4 Amp Modeler

My Geminus setup is input 4 and my AM4 is input 3 on grid - can I use the Geminus pedal on the AM4 somehow eliminating using an input 4 on my grid in AXE III ?

Is this possible or doesn't make sense

Also not sure where this pedal should be pre or post after the amp and cab - right now on grid Geminus is after the amp and cab on the grid - any help would be appreciated - thanks

I have confirmed my intention to buy the AM4 from G66, so I should get one from the first large European air shipment.

Will be using the AM4 both by itself and/or with my VP4 and/or my other pedals and amps.

Really looking forward to getting it!
Ive been experimenting with my am4 and vp4 for the past few days and im tellin ya i cant get enough. Am4 is great by itself and thats why i makes a good stand aloneyou can take in you backpack to rehearsals. When you combine them both you can imagine the potential. Freakin genius.

I can't get any of them to work with CC#s. We're you able to get them to work and if so, how?
Moving discussion here for more visibility.

I am only using Preset +/-1 and Scene +/-1. Are those the ones you might be referring to? If so, I left Scene +1 at CC#1, -1 at CC#2, set up Preset +/-1 to CC#10/11 respectively. Everything on MIDI Channel 1.

On the MIDI Controller, I made sure to also use Channel 1, mapped the footswitches to CCs with the values above for control numbers (in one of the controllers, I had to add 1 since Fractal is 0-based. So CC#10 on the AM4 corresponded to CC#11 on the controller and so forth). Up value 1, down value 128 ( for that particular one).

Do you have more details?

I’ve spent a couple of days with the AM4 now. Absolutely loving it. Well built. Sounds great. Intuitive and easy to use. The factory presets are excellent. Those DynaCabs are dialed in.
Thanks for making another awesome product.

Keep us posted on how this turn out pretty curious...
got a new USB cable. It really fixed the communication issue (no more lost connections from laptop to AM4) however the AM4 sounded much quieter and pretty bad actually. I thought initially it was me imagining things after I lowered the power amp volume (played yesterday so much my head was exploding). But no - the freaking USB cable was affecting the sound a lot. After I unplugged it it was night and day. So.. I really don't want to get a USB noise isolator, etc.. Maybe my laptop is too old for this stuff.. Any ideas? I would rather do all programming and unplug the USB cable but at the same time if I want to test what I am doing the USB is going to affect the sound.. Or just use the AM4 directly without any USB connection..

You may want to hit up fractal tech support on this one. They'll be able to guide you because this shouldn't be happening.

I let our other guitarist play thru the AM4 last night at rehearsal, he has an FM3 that he normally uses. He was hitting two buttons at once and sometimes holding button 1 down and going to the previous bank and we'd have to stop and I'd have to show him how to get it back on the right preset. It was slightly funny but interrupting. It sounded great though!

Finally a fractal device for the masses. Its great to see the buzz this thing is creating around the guitar playing world, with every amp model available at this price its no surprise.

I sold my FM9 as soon as I saw the AM4 as it'll fit my needs perfectly, just patiently waiting for the fantastic Sukh at G66 UK to let me know when mines ready to ship.

I've already started saving my pennies for the next gen fractal whenever that may be, because with all the power (and more?) of an AXEFXIII in a new form factor it'll be irresistible. I love the way things are done by this company, no nonsense, and by far the very best amp modelling on the planet.

This was a great episode Marco! lots of practical topics and solutions.
Personally, I'm tired of everyone whining about how complicated
Fractal products are. Spend a little time with the unit and the manual
or these great YT tutorials and they'll have it down in no time.
