Anyone using the FX8 in front of an amp only?

I run mine in from of either a Red Plate CD2 or a Two Rock 22pro. Amps clean all effects including dirt from the FX8. It sounds great. If you are interested I can send you links of lousy iPhone videos of my cover band so you get an idea of the variety of tones I get live.

So...Now the FX8 is in peoples hands...what do you think?

I also moved from the Timeline and Mobius to the FX8. I would not use the word "easily surpasses" Strymon. I would say that you can make any delay or effect that the Strymon can make with the FX8. The only thing that I warn you, is that the FX8 delays are extremely tweakable but you need to know...

Pretty quiet here, don't you think?

I got my FX8 and can't be any happier. It sounds great. I am still working with the drives. The Fx8 is extremely easy to tweak. I have been the proud owner of an axe Fx original, Axe Fx 2 then a Kemper. I had a HD500 dream rig and finally returned to tube amps. As a tube amp guy again, the FX8...

Transition from HD500

Bad Hum from XLR Output 1

The hum at home is probably the computer even the axe. I get hum with my LP or even with the fat strat when I get close to the axe fx II for editing.

I understand, but the input levels in the axe are not responding. This includes the instrument input level. I can not adjust it and I would like to increase it because my guitar has a lowish output and I would like to get it closer to the clipping level. I don't know if this gets inactivated...

I recently got my Axe Fx II and I was trying to practice using backing tracks through my computer, so I connected the Axe via USB, installed the drivers and left the input type at default (so I could just play my guitar with a backing track). The backing track was way too loud and the volume...

Sean, I got my JTV-69 last night and the guitar is great, but I have some fret issues with mine. There appear to be several rough areas/dents in several frets. I notice it when I bend a note. Have you notice that problem with yours? Are the frets in your 69 smooth? Thanks, Dan

I ordered a JTV 69 Black and am eagerly waiting. There are several posts in the L6 forum of people who already got theirs. There are some minor guitar finish complaints, but so far people seem satisfied. I can't wait to use my new JTV with my Ultra!!!

Help with Radiohead patch

I guess there are not many replies. It seems that Jonny Greenwood uses a Roland Space Echo, a small stone pedal and a Whammy pedal to get the sound. Can you emulate those pedals with the Axe Fx Ultra? Any guidance? Thanks, Dan

Is Mission Engineering gone?

I got an e-mail from Mission and they have a back up on their cables. That is why they are delayed with my order. Unfortunately, it took then a long time to communicate which makes customers upset. Can't wait for the pedals!!!

I e-mailed Mission on Thankgivings and got an immediate response. They answered my questions and I decided to order. I paid, got a receipt but then silence...... I e-mailed them again but, silence...... I am eagerly waiting since the product appears to be great. I am not in much of a rush...

I just bought a MFC 101 so, 1) I updated the firmware from 7.xx to 10.02 (no problem) 2) I update the MFC 101 firmware to 0.17 (no problem) 3) I tried to update all banks A, B and C to the latest version but I was not able to do it. The Axe Fx did not recognize the banks when I send them using...
