The Dweezil Zappa cello patch?

A bit off topic but I need your help (owners of VHT 2902)

I am 99% sure the 2902 can only run 6550 or kt88. 2502 can run el34, 6l6, or kt77.

How will the MFC tuner work? (cable-wise)

I'm wondering if the tuner functionality will work with a single 7-pin midi cable. Having just one cable running to the pedalboard is awesome, and I'd love to keep it that way.

MIDI THRU switchable to become input?

I don't know if that would be a possibility in the software, but it could be a quick solution to those who are using a foot controller & editor at the same time. So, only one input is active at a time, and techincally IN & THRU are swappable. Would be pretty cool.

Stupid question - single command footswitch?

So how does a footswitch actually work? Does the footswitch input on the axe-fx (amp/foot controller/whatever) send out a low voltage signal through the tip, waiting for the footswitch to throw and send the signal back out through the sleeve, thus completing a circuit? Then the returning...

Use a Floor Controller and the Editor at same time?

You'd most likely have to hardwire the extra pins for phantom power inside the merger as they are probably either not connected to anything, or soldered to the pcb for support. It'd still be an easy mod. Midi uses pins 1-3, no?

I guess any value from 10k to 50k is fine for expression pedals. I came across this 20k pot that would work perfectly, but I don't know if it's linear or logarithmic. Would it make much difference one way or the other?
