How will the MFC tuner work? (cable-wise)

I'm wondering if the tuner functionality will work with a single 7-pin midi cable.

Having just one cable running to the pedalboard is awesome, and I'd love to keep it that way.

Holy CRAP! I didn't realize that! I always assumed there would be a 7-pin cable from the AXE FX "Midid out" to the MFC-101 "Midi in", and then a 5-pin cable coming to the AXE FX "Midid in" from the MFC-101 "Midi out".
