Wet signal via AES, Dry signal Output 1?

Thanks for the response! It works just fine. I just like the idea of having complete control over the dry signal's gain or being able to send that signal to a preamp, etc. I sometimes also like to slightly clip the dry signal to get a unique tone when it comes to post-process distortion.

Not to ignore your question but why not just record the dry take via SPDIF & the wet track via the Axe OUT to interface IN?

I really don't wanna turn on the Axe just to listen to music, on top of the hassle of having to constantly change audio devices in my DAW. & the main one, running lots of plugins & Superior Drummer 3, or just doing big projects in general, the Axe doesn't seem to enjoy it hah.

You're absolutely correct. One last newbie question — Even with Axe set & recording as slave, the interface's converters are still being bypassed because the Axe has already converted the analog signal to digital, right?
