dumb question - any "fix" for the loud pop you get when powering on/off?

FOH should be able to just mute you before you turn off and disconnect? That is the way we always did FOH

FM9 Finally Crashed on the Gig - Lived to Tell the Tale

I have never had a crash but I keep all my gigging presets under 70% cpu. Only issue I had was when there was a power surge but now I carry a battery backup ups.

I finally had a chance to try and i think they sound good not my taste (too much reverb). I do like the sound of the amp and what you are doing. So in your presets is just the filter the cab replacement or the filter and EQ?

I think he was doing a worst case scenario? But I don’t want to answer for him. What if when you changed channels you didn’t change the amp instance? Does that change the gap? I haven’t had issues with gaps but I also don’t use that many amps and I try to limit the channel and amp instance...

You have to open your backup usb use their app and get those imprints. Then you can either upload them here or on there website?

Yes EdoSounds is the one I remember. I bought the popmart pack. Here is a quick sample of the intro I just converted it with fractool to the 3 no editing. Guitar to Axe to Logic. Envelope controlled Wah and Flanger along with the normal Edge delay and AC30.

Ok I’m familiar with the global blocks. So what are you changing? Just level and some particular boosts or cuts of specific frequencies? To go from a strat to a LP type what do you do or vice versa? Curious to try this! Any suggestions would be welcome. Couldn’t you just include those block...

Yes try a new USB cable and make sure your cable is not too long and not through a hub or similar. I had the same issue and did the shorter directly to computer route and all worked fine. Dave

Figured it out. For some reason the AXE 3 is more finicky about cable length than the 2 or AX8? Used a shorter cable and all is fine again. Thanks for the help!

Suddenly lost all USB connectivity

It wasn’t seeing it plugged into another port so I finally got it to see it in the first port again and was able to update it to 1.13. Very finicky as to where it is plugged in. I thought by plugging directly into the MacBook Pro port it would be better but it wouldn’t let it connect? Anyway...

Even the presets with user cabs that have sound, it is not the correct cab have to go and select different cab and then back again! Very time consuming. Didn't know that this affected user cabs. I might just go back to 6.02?

AX8 input level problem

Does your mixer have an effects or aux send? Maybe you could use the mixer to bring up your level before the AX8? Just a thought? Then if that works to your satisfaction you could try some sort of preamp?

Ok after I Installed Miditest it appears my AX8 is only transmitting MIDI PC intermittently the patches on the AX8 are changing but only about half the time is it transmitting MIDI PC? Help? Any Suggestions?

Yes the lights are on and indicating receiving but nothing is changing. If I keep pushing the preset like 20 times it will eventually change but that won't work live. I will check out the miditest software. Thanks, Dave

All of a sudden now the midi out does not seem to be working? I am using a Boss GP-10 as a guitar modeler and have been using a device called a MIDX10 for the midi in and out via USB but now it won't respond to PC messages from the AX8? Was something changed midi wise in the latest firmware...

Well, after a few shows I have a complaint

I have the same issue. It is very limiting to me. Been trying to narrow it down but haven't figured it out yet. What noise gate settings are you guys that don't have the issue using? I'm using the stock intelligent setting and tweaking the threshold from there. Any help would be greatly...
