If you read the article, the scientist's actual words were: "range of deaths could be anything between 5 and 150 million" ... whoever wrote the article just grabbed the 150 number and paraphrased at the top without including the lower number as well. It makes a difference that the scientist...

It seems the plan is to "flatten the curve" of infections so we don't overload the hospitals in the short to medium term. If all goes well, we'll have vaccine(s) tested and ready to go in six months to a year. Once we have a vaccine for Covid-19, things should return more to normal...

I think the aggressive Italy lockdown and quarantine actions will show significant improvements in their numbers... starting with a reduction in number of new cases over the next few days. The death curve will probably be a bit further behind that, but within a couple weeks Italy's death curve...

If you look at the data, the area in the world where Covid-19 spread is coming under control is China... which enforced aggressive, draconian type measures last month - to quarantine and shut down entire areas of the country... The Chinese govt has taken it very seriously, plus scared the shit...
