Agreed, but I also agree with @boyce89976 in that stereo vs. mono (for the normal IR) is responsible for most of the difference in tone, and the 'more real' sound of the full res IRs, at least in your example... which sounds FANTASTIC, but the way! :D

Thanks, but that's not the issue I'm facing. Reducing the bank size and then increasing it results in the displayed number of presets remaining at the smaller number. As an example, if you look at the second pic I posted above, buttons 2-5 and 7-11 display the same preset after reducing bank...

Do you mean the "Load the default settings" section of the Quick Start Guide, about resetting the FC defaults in the Setup section of the Axe lll? If so, then yes!

I just double-checked and I joined the waitlist 22/12/18 and got the FC-12 invite earlier this afternoon! My only disappointment (other than the crappy exchange rate these days :() was that shipping it this side of the border is the same as for the Axe lll... US$105 or ~ C$140... ah well...

Me too! But... they have to fix the sizing issue. When I got one with my AX8 last year, it quickly became apparent (just by unfolding the darn thing and holding it up) that their supplier is sending FAS children's sizes rather than adult! :eek: o_O

Yep! As I noted on Friday, the exchange rate dive has made this less and less easy to jump on... at yesterday's rate, it's costing us $175 more than it would have on Jan. 29. :mad: :(

True... but as mentioned, there were over a hundred with the AX8! ;) When I sold my AX8 and bought an XL+, I basically used FracTool to convert the 128 presets of the AX8 to XL+ format, copied this bank to Bank D of the XL+ and started living there! :D Best of both worlds... particularly...

Tweaking one of the Mesa Recto models to emulate the Trem-o-verb?

The Trem-o-verb (or Tremoverb :D) has been mentioned a few times in the forum over the years, but I'm wondering if anyone has worked with one of the Recto models to get closer to the sound and feel of the ToV? I've never had the opportunity to play one, as they're rarer than hen's teeth these...

We shall see... the forecast here changed between last night and this AyEm alone... we were supposed to get snow Tuesday and Wednesday, totalling perhaps 20 - 25 cm (i.e. not an insane amount at all!) but now the forecast is for sunny'n'chilly instead! Right now, the forecast for Plaistow next...

As a follow-up, it hit me that this didn't identify which block was having channel changes. From Pages 42 & 100, it looks like we need to assign a CC# manually for each block we want to change channels via midi? That could add up pretty quick!
