Dyna-cab, general consensus is that they're "better" than legacy?

Why are so many people not relying on their ears anymore?

The greatest asset of the Fractal stuff is the same as it's greatest weakness... you have access to all the stuff under the hood that a person that mods amps for a living does. Put that in the hands of someone who has never had access to such things and you are bound to have some terrible...

I'd love to see modern amps such as REVV, KSR, etc... Seems like we have mostly older designs in the AXE. Not complaining, mind you. I have all I need. I just wonder why the more modern stuff isn't in there.

You'll definitely want to update your presets to the latest firmware... afx2 patches will absolutely not sound right on afx3 and are not meant to. Second thing to consider... not all these patches were created by people with a good ear for tone and most of them are done with a completely...

Can there just be two separate downloads for 17? One for folks that are ok with losing the 1000 user slots (seriously, who really uses that many?) and folks that do not want AITR?

It is rare I use more than a dozen IRs so this wouldn't bother me a tiny bit. I'd rather have 32 IRs that increase the potential of the axe than load 1000 IRs I will likely check out once and forget about.

Bricasti m7 reverb vs the axefx3?

The Bricasti is a world class Reverb used by many of the highest end studios around the world. It's almost unfair to compare them. Sure the verbs are pretty good on the Axe but it's not going to get you the same results as a world class, purpose built reverb.

AITR

Although this sounds pretty cool and would likely be more fun to play when just practicing in the recording studio, I'd likely rarely use them in a mix. I've never sought out that "amp in the room" thing because that is not going to happen when you are comparing playing live through a 4x12 cab...

yup... for the BE and HBE it works. I usually go 80hz To be clear I am talking about input EQ. I add the bass back in depth or post EQ which is tighter.

yes, BE and HBE were not up to par for me either and they were my faves for years. Once I used low cut anywhere between 500-1000 the low end tightened up significantly and the feel was much less squashed. Now they are usable again but I cannot say they are my faves anymore.

Thank you! Yes, drum programming can be tedious. How I like to do it is just program basic beats for the most parts, write the song out and then program fully once the instrumentation is all there. That is much more fun and allows it to be it's own thing (like a drummer) rather than going back...

All of the sudden the tuner is off by almost 3/4 step?

AH! OK, so if I had a session in 44.1k it would screw up the tuner if I am connected via AES?

Weird issue that popped up out of nowhere. All the sudden the tuner is off by almost 3/4 step. All I did was change patches. Changing back does nothing. There is no offset set up either. Any ideas what I might have clicked or done to do this?
