Why is the CLR so much more popular in comparison to Matrix equivalents?

I use the Matrix GT1000FX with the CLR Passive Wedge. I bought the CLR because it was domestic, honestly. Less expensive, and got here faster. It sounds amazing too. So why not

A monitor for serious live use

I use a CLR in a LOUD progressive metal band. Seriously, it is loud enough haha. I use a passive one though with a Matrix GT1000FX. Might be the difference, but yeah. Needs to be tried first. Do NOT got a K12. I had 2 and it as the worst experience as far as volume goes.

If you can afford to do it, why not. Could make for some cool sounds. You have so much more CPU, and could do separate things effects wise to each side, and pan them or whatever whatever.

CLR owners help me out.

I use the Matrix GT1000FX with my passive CLR. Volume change is easy. And this thing sounds great. But I guess the real question is are you trying to use this thing outside of the house? Are you planning on using it live?

I use it as a rear panel. But I just got my Vafam panel yesterday. Was only $100, and it was shipped a day later. I have 9 outputs on mine. The quality is just incredible.

Some problems with my Strandberg, and Lace X bars...

So these Lace pickups have barely the output they should have even though the volume is cranked, and I have had them raised obscenely high. Anyone know what could be causing this? Bad Volume pot? Bad wiring?

matrix vs mesa 2:100 review

I play the Matrix GT1000FX with drop tuned guitars, and 7 strings playing mostly progressive metal, and it is absolutely brutal, sounds perfect. Wouldn't trade it for a tube amp, ever.

Opinion on Carvin guitars

Buy it. My Carvin DC727 is just amazing. The build quality is ridiculous. I own a Strandberg 7, and I still find myself playing both guitars about as equally as much.

I don't think you are understanding. The midi signals get sent automatically to change patches at set times during a song to a click track the entire band is playing to. I know The Faceless does this with the Axe FX II, wondering who else is doing this. Pretty sure they use a laptop to do it though.

I own both a nice set of studio monitors, and my Port City OS Wave 4x12 sits next to my recording desk as well. From my experience, don't bother with the 4x12 if you have neighbors. You'll get a better sound out of something like studio monitors at bedroom level. It blows the 4x12 out of the...

What's so special about Matrix GT1000?

The Matrix being designed for guitar playing is more marketing bait than anything else. The truth is, I have the Carvin DCM1540L before I got my Matrix GT1000FX. LOVE the Carvin. Still do. so much headroom, was loud, and had very flat response. But then I got the Matrix to see what all the fuss...

I ended up getting one. Initially the ones I had seen were like $40-$60, so I was trying another route. Didn't see that Hosa cable on Sweetwater though. Haha. Thinking of ditching the GCP Pro altogether and just having patch changes to click automatically live. Anyone try this?

I have purely passive, but I do have the coil tapping, and I love it. The middle switch with single coils set is that perfect AAL slapping sound.

If crucifixion was what I was going for with the statement, I think you would know haha. Simply a question. Who is to say? Nothing was ever released concretely about what was really going on in the pictures. Or even the positions used for every IR. Would be interested to hear.

I am using the Matrix into a Port City OS Wave 4x12, and also an Orange PPC212C, and got them to sound great, but only by lowering the highs with the filter block, and some basic EQ'ing in the amp block. All to taste of course, so I don't have exact numbers for you.

Axe FX + Matrix GT800FX + Orange PPC412 4x12 - Best Way of Connecting?

XLR from Axe to Matrix input A. Speakon from bridged output on Matrix to the jack on the back of the cab. That's how I do it. Sounds great.
