Thanks for the info. This is why I wish there was a more concise guide to TM and reamping. Most of the guides I've come across lack in depth explanation about IO ,USB and asio for the people who may not understand it to begin with. Maybe there needs to be an Axe FX for dummies book. Lol.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I think my problems are IO or Asio. Using Asio4all. It's like hit or miss with tone match. Sometimes I can get reference.wav file to Axe and other times not. Then when I manage to get wav input into axe fx guitar input disappears. I'm using just USB connection...

What happened to power button and level meters in new Axe edit ???

Power button and level meters seem to be missing in latest version of axe edit. Cant get any sound out via usb anymore nor can I monitor input/output levels in axe edit. What gives ?

Cutting an amont equal to the latency at the beginning of the guitar track in your DAW will pull the guitar track back in time with the other tracks.

Try this backing track This is original tracks without lead guitar. Throw your lead over this groovenut. It will probably sit better in mix than with center cancelling.

Thanks Secret 80's man. For the others having thin tone issues. Idk. Not quite sure why. Probably guitar and pickups for one. Also I route my axe 2 through a mixer then to a DAW. I dont remember if the eq on mixer channel was engaged or not. That may be the discrepency in tone. If so I apologize...

You're welcome. I agree. I thought the same thing. 80's mixing was just that though. Thin guitar that sat nicely into a mix where the bass and drums took care of the low end. Originally I tried a more full modern in your face guitar tone and it seemed to overpower the mix and create a little too...

Thanks guys. @X14Halo Just learn the 7 box patterns up, down, arpeggiate, any order, etc. Then tie the box patterns vertically up and down neck. Single string runs will help you tie the boxes together.

Request: Digitech Grunge Pedal

The GSP 2101 Grunge distortion definitely has an edge/sound that is hard to duplicate. Even with the Axe 2. I've tried and can't quite match it. Close as I've come is using a recto/ts808 and a dual chorus. Similar to the Lynch patch I posted. It's close but not exact. I would be very impressed...

How to load a user made preset into the Axe FX II?

I had the same issue. But I figured it out. You have to either shunt effects like Volume/pan, etc. or go into the effect and change controller from external to none.
