DraggAmps, You are correct in your description of the process...those of us who still use the Standard/Ultra are limited to just 10 user slots. I use slot 10 when I create the matches, just because I'm a creature of habit. You can re-save to any slot you desire.

Your last guess is correct. The amp block is the selection made from the Axe itself prior the the tone match process. The cab is what is loaded as a result of the matching process. They work together to complete the tone match. If you change the preselected amp, you will alter the sound from...

I'm sorry, but these were done with a guitar other than a six string that is tuned too low to get an accurate tone match with. I am more than will willing to take requests, but I only have six string guitars.

FRFR means "Full Range Flat Response": studio monitors, Pubic Address (PA) speakers, or even a good pair of headphones. I hope this clears it up a little for you.

These are made indeed made for FRFR/direct use...once you load up a preset just make sure that the second cab is pointing to the corresponding tone matched IR (every preset has a corresponding IR). I have it pointing to CAB Slot 10, by default. If the process is still unclear, let me know and...

I have already made a Summer of 69 TM. The link is on page one, but I'll put it here as well. I also took a stab at the Poison song. I could not find enough of an isolated Marco Sfogli guitar track to TM, sorry. Let me know how the others work out for you.

You are correct eadgbe, these patches were made for using FRFR monitors. I use low output humbuckers, so the gain might be need to be adjusted to taste and to compensate for higher output pickups. I still using Axe-Edit 1.0.188; it has been alot more stable than later versions with the Ultra...

First of all, your welcome. To make the tone matches I first find a good guitar only sample. These can be found on youtube or many other places online. I then import the sample into my DAW, where I use the plugin Ozone. Try to find an amp/cab combo in your Axe-Fx that is similar to the tone...
