Mesa Boogie FX loop problem

... Hello ... I am trying to connect via 4CM to my Orange Thunderverb 50 and getting SIGNIFICANT noise ... which segment of the signal path do you suggest placing the ground loop eliminator? Also, I saw in another thread the suggestion to use Ebtech's HUM X any thought's on using that too?

Help please ... expression pedal to input volume

solved ... I found that my CC# map inside the Ultra got modified by me at some point. Input volume AND Output Volume were set at CC#11. Changed it to 10 ... all works perfectly. Thanks!

Help please ... expression pedal to input volume

I have an Ultra/MFC with Mission Eng expression pedals. I currently have XP1 set to CC#11 and it controls the output volume perfectly. HOWEVER, I want to change XP1 to control input volume so that any delay effects I may have active will trail off when I back off the pedal, much the effect...

Shure PGXD wireless ... Has anyone used one?

Shure recently introduced their digital wireless system, the PGXD. It is hard to find any user reviews on this yet so I thought I should ask my fellow Axe folks. Has anyone ever tried one of these and, if so, does it perform comparably to the Line 6 digital series?

So, are you saying that, if I send L/R outs from the Axe to 2 discreet channels of a mono PA, I shouldn't experience weird phase cancellations i.e. from the chorus or enhancer?

Hey Rex ... YES! Everything operates perfectly. The Axe and my guitar sound incredible. The noise/interference is a constant and only affected in volume by the headphone volume control. I don't think there is much else I can try until I return home. Who knows, maybe it is crappy rural hotel...

I have double checked the phantom power and it doesn't seem to be a part of the issue. You are probably right about the ground loop thing. I will have to try and isolate some power sources. Also, do you think if I go with the XLR outs and lift the ground on those outputs it my work?

Update: 3) No. the noise is NOT present when I plug my headphones directly into the unbalanced outs. ;) It doesn't sound like a "clipping" type of noise which might come from a level mismatch. It is more like a random high freq interference sound. It is NOT affected at all by turning the out...

Thanks for the reply and suggestions. Answers: 1) Yes. The noise is still there when the guitar and cable are removed from the input. 2) No. The noise gate doesn't seem to have any effect. 3) I have not tried to plug my headphones into either one of the unbalanced outputs. I will try that.
