What’s your favourite PRO LEVEL camera for high definition video AND audio for guitar?

At least on my Sony cameras, you can attach an external microphone to capture audio with an external mic while shooting video. I think something like that would be your best bet. I haven't seen any pro level camera with builtin great audio capture facilities builtin but something like Sony's...

FM9 Firmware Version 11.0

Foot switch not working on first press

Yep, me too. Same switch and also on the latest beta firmware. Assumed it was a hardware issue and thought I could just clean it or something. So maybe (hopefully) it's related to firmware then and will be fixed in the stable v11 release.

My suggestion was really to have custom labels per channel, and being able to use that channel label for switches. So if I have three drives I'm cycling between, say a Klon, a Klon with more level (Klon+) and a 808. If I had my own label for that channel, the switch could display "current...

eBay (Australia) has turned to crap!

I have no problems with eBay.com.au (or amazon.com.au) but I may well use it a bit differently. I like the fact that eBay (and Amazon) will pretty much force return policies and shipping guarantees. Some sellers don't permit returns but when buying the same thing bought through eBay they will...

No, the FM9 version was a complete rewrite. I never had much luck trying to adapt. This AX8 version used an expression pedal for the talkbox and the FM9 version uses a sequencer, much easier live 😀

Indeed, an FM3 as a spare is not cheap. I still have a Tech21 Flyrig that I've had as a spare but I'm going to sell that, as I do have the FM3. I do occasionally use the FM3 when playing an acoustic duo gig and pretty much only use it for some always on effects (compressor, reverb) and a looper...

I have a FM3 as a backup for my FM9 and leave it in the car. I also have a small bag of extras like extra cables, extra vocal mic and so on. Feels good being prepared eventhough I've never had to use it.

Yes, the dongle types I tried wouldn't give any sound on piezo guitars. With piezo guitars, they have a stereo jack and when you insert a mono cable it shorts two of the connectors and that's what turns the power on to the piezo, and why the batter gets drained if you leave the cable plugged in...
