    There is a harmonic minor scale, and a melodic in the classical sense and a melodic in the jazz sense. What I wrote was that there is no harmonic minor key. People use the terms interchangeably and they don't mean the same thing.

    Just a small point, but there is no harmonic minor key. It's just minor. You're right though in that playing with E phrygian mode will wield the same notes as A natural minor scale. Problem is that these two harmonic contexts don't have the same cadences or progressions to reflect the differing...
