Quality of delays in AxeFX II?

Interesting. I look forward to hearing clips. I had a 2290 and was never really wild about it for guitar. A little clean for my taste. However my Korg SDD 3000 I love the mojo in that box. So far the Axe Fx can't do the Korg vibe.

Anyone wants to challenge me for "delay nut" title it's on.
For starters, I named my daughter "Echo".
Come one come all.

Axe-Fx II leaves the Ultra in the dust for delay flexibility.
ALL your sounds are in here.

Bit reduction.
4-band parametric EQ in the loop
- Hi and Low Cut... 12/24/48 db slope... Q control
- 2 mid bands with selectable Q, gain, freq
HOLD switch
Master feedback goes over 100%
60+ different tempo settings
Better TIME parameter resolution
Plus all the original flexibility of the Ultra/Standard

Oh yeah? I named mine Delay-nee. :D

I am really interested in the bit crusher sound for U2 stuff from Pop, Achtung Baby, and Zooropa. I always wondered what that sound was that made some songs on those albums have that unique sound. Then I started messing with the effects on Ableton live and came across bit reduction and bam, there it was, THAT sound. To me, it sounds like they used it on The Unforgettable Fire album too. Having never owned an sdd3000 though, but heard lots of recordings with it from people....i don't see the hype... To me it sounds like the bit crusher sound is that chimey fuzzy analog delay sound.....When you get the right setting.

Is the delay hold just one note or is it a set time -- like you can stomp on a controller and have a miniature loop thing goin with it or do you need the looper for this? How does delay hold work in the case of this mode?

No settings other than Run. It just captures what is in the buffer and infinitely repeats it. I'm not sure if it crossfades or not, I haven't played with it enough.

so you push hold, it keeps the thing you were playing repeating, then you hit pedal assigned to the feedback control and ramp it up slowly and then cut out for a radiohead end to a song? =P

The bitcrusher is insanely cool. I've been setting the delay time to 1 ms, mix 100%, feedback 0% and using it for hardcore 4-bit lo-fi awesomeness.

I was going to ask about bit reduction.
I sold my eventide eclipse to help finance the AXE II. Just by reading the forum here I don't think I'll be missing it at all.
