Is it just the switches/display lagging or the actual audio?Anyone getting a 2-3 second lag when switching scenes?

The audio is pretty quick but the buttons tag a couple second to change the LED.Is it just the switches/display lagging or the actual audio?
That's typically a sign that the CPU is getting loaded. The audio is pretty quick but the buttons tag a couple second to change the LED.
Presets are low. Well below 80%. Just started with recent beta.
I have noticed that if I change to heavy burdened CPU patch since I think Ver 10 it will lock up all controls. The audio changes immediately the switches will sit frozen in my case for about 20seconds or more before changing and then I get off that patch. Only that one patch that I haven’t changed in years but with each FW update id bigger and bigger on the CPU. I can’t reduce it at all because it’s a synth patch. I almost never use it live except for a novelty sound if some filler is needed for unplanned technical space. For what it’s worth I could use up to 85% cpu live in the past but not hooked up to the computer. Now things are a bit more touchy. I don’t have a turbo so patches are harder for me now. I use kitchen sink style presets because I play a wide variety of musical styles and also sit in with different bands occasionally so I never know what type of song will be called in the fill in bands so I want everything in one preset at me feet so I don’t have to think.Anyone getting a 2-3 second lag when switching scenes?
You can break up that kitchen sink preset into two or three kitchen sink presets for different styles. It's not hard to get familiar with two or three presets, especially if they have similar layouts.I use kitchen sink style presets because I play a wide variety of musical styles and also sit in with different bands occasionally so I never know what type of song will be called in the fill in bands so I want everything in one preset at me feet so I don’t have to think.
This one gets it.![]()
Holster your guns fellas... If you read my post again, it wasn't meant as a dig at all. I understand what betas are for and can patiently wait for the official release. Jeeze Louise some of y'all are jumpy...In addition.
-If you are completely happy with the sound and feature set of your current OS, you don't have to upgrade.
-the fm9 features are generally rolled out after the axe3. If issues are encountered and reported for the 3, this can delay fixes and public releases on the other hardware subsets.
Looking at the fact that the 3 (31.02) just received fixes today..there is still work going on

This is what I think I will settle on. 40 years of a pedal board with everything on it is a hard habit to break but i'm getting there. You can break up that kitchen sink preset into two or three kitchen sink presets for different styles. On your FM9, you can set up a footswitch to select between those two or three presets. Gapless switching lets you do that quickly and smoothly.

Watch your caffeine intake. That stuff can make you... jumpy.![]()
TBH the feature request for a global or setlist song-based tempo for syncing delays, trems, etc... across presets is the one thing holding me back from implementing this exact approach. If that feature ever finds its way in some day, hoooboy it'll be Christmas all over again =) Gapless switching has gotten that good that there's nothing preventing it anymore. This is what I think I will settle on. 40 years of a pedal board with everything on it is a hard habit to break but i'm getting there.
I had a preset per song with my Helix. With the FM9 (If I join another band) I will likely go this method. The flexibility and power allows this. Song and Setlists are a possibility as well. You can break up that kitchen sink preset into two or three kitchen sink presets for different styles. When it's ready... There's no other answer. When will the final version be released?
I would assume that all of the updates from the latest Axe FX 3 firmware are being incorporated into the FM9 or trying to be. I'd also assume that there will be another beta or 2.When will the final version be released?

I have this problem too with 11 beta. It has to be software IMOI am going to mention my problem here because I am running my FM9 Turbo in beta 11 and this is the first time, I can remember, seeing this problem. I am not sure if it is a betta 11 problem or some other.
Here it is: No matter what preset I am on, when I am on the Effects Layout 4 and press button 3, it does not activate the first press. It will function as programed on my second press and continue to operate properly till I select a new preset. Then the problem repeats. This function is simple, Effect/bypass. I have other buttons programed the same way and they do not behave in this matter. No press/hold function or any other special instructions. I have tested it with Fractal factory presets as well as my own. It does not matter what I program globally in this position, it still acts this way. I have looked in my per preset list and I don’t see anything that would cause this. It is 100% consistent on my FM9.
Has anyone else seen this problem?
