In addition.
-If you are completely happy with the sound and feature set of your current OS, you don't have to upgrade.
-the fm9 features are generally rolled out after the axe3. If issues are encountered and reported for the 3, this can delay fixes and public releases on the other hardware subsets.

Looking at the fact that the 3 (31.02) just received fixes today..there is still work going on

The only confirmed bug (repeatable) I see is audio artifacts with germanium diodes at very low bias settings. And there may be a level drop when engaging global EQ on Out 3 (one report). If that makes you uncomfortable, and you don't have the time to beta test, by all means wait for the official release. But I wouldn't describe it as 'plagued with issues'.

Yeah, they're definitely not showstopper bugs.
In the meantime maybe someone else could try the preset I shared to test the OUT3 bug on his unit.

PS: the OUT3 bug is not an exclusive of this beta cuz it was already present in FW 10.00 (and maybe the diode bug as well).
 
I am going to mention my problem here because I am running my FM9 Turbo in beta 11 and this is the first time, I can remember, seeing this problem. I am not sure if it is a betta 11 problem or some other.
Here it is: No matter what preset I am on, when I am on the Effects Layout 4 and press button 3, it does not activate the first press. It will function as programed on my second press and continue to operate properly till I select a new preset. Then the problem repeats. This function is simple, Effect/bypass. I have other buttons programed the same way and they do not behave in this matter. No press/hold function or any other special instructions. I have tested it with Fractal factory presets as well as my own. It does not matter what I program globally in this position, it still acts this way. I have looked in my per preset list and I don’t see anything that would cause this. It is 100% consistent on my FM9.
Has anyone else seen this problem?

This isn't a problem I've ever seen mentioned.

Please post a screenshot of the switch config.

I have this issue as well. Same switch. Have to tap twice for it to engage, and any hold or layout link will not behave as intended. A few of us had some trouble with this. Admin M@ reached out to us to fix it. So I think they know about it and will probably fix it for next beta.
It does seem like it only effected a few people.

I also experienced the same. (had to double tap fs 3) reached out directly to them with a video showing the issue about 8 days ago and they said it would be addressed. reverted back to fw 10 and issue disappeared.

Thank you for your objectivity, as an owner of both the FM9 and O.G. Helix I love them both and have used both live, Line6 publicly stated they were committed to supporting the original Helix line for 10 years and they did exactly what they said, how is that a bad thing, and to your point they provided new amps, new cabs, engine updates etc. over that 10yr period, they did a great job of supporting their product and customers, nothing but love to Fractal Audio, but if as a user someone going to talk down about a product/company at least be honest and tell the real story, Happy Holidays to all wish you all the best.

Honestly, the tribalism makes me cringe, whether it's mac vs windows, ios vs android, anything vs linux...or helix vs fractal.

Don't forget the OG: Beta vs VHS. My dad did not pick the right team...

Also I have experienced the footswitch 3 bug and described it a page or two ago.

Helix is a great piece of gear, updates maybe not quite as frequent as Fractal but it had a fun lifecycle with plenty of updates and improvements. I think many of the people who think there's a massive gap between Helix and Fractal may have tried one before the update that totally rehauled and improved the cabs, plus the Helix model presets aren't as touch and go as Fractal's. There's even some UI and patching stuff I preferred on Helix, though I'm strictly using fractal now as I do think it sounds better and the synth-style modulation options open up a lot of new territory with FX.

Beta sounds great. Sansamp is one I've been wanting, loving all the bass stuff. New dyna-cabs are fantastic additions, great work on the SVT.
 
No lag here.

Could it be CPU related? I run my presets at max 75%, usually even lower, but maybe if yours take more CPU that could be the culprit?

I noticed that already on certain presets with previous firmware versions if the CPU load was just too high. Made me sacrifice some preset features to stay below the 80% Mark and resort to switching between presets for a couple of songs instead of scenes.
