OMG 9 without FC-6: How to use the 3 switches by themselves

I have much admiration for this set of tweaks. I don't use my FM3 with the FC6 because if I'm doing that I'll just take the FM9 and get the extra horsepower.

I have one, small, tweak I make to this on my FM3: I set the last scene to ON the scene switches. So second tap on a scene switch gets me back to the scene I can from. Super handy if you got a few views into the scenes to find an alt scene and want to get back to the scene you can from quickly. No need to wade back to the HOME layout a view and then back in to the first SCENES view.

I think you mean 2nd Press Last Scene not Scene Revert?

Had the FM3/FC6, but bought the FM9 and sold the latter. Now bought a new FM3 Turbo (with the huge scribble strip screens), for use with acoustic gigs (still own the FM9T for non-acoustic gigs), but tried the OMG3 all layout and it didn't work correctly. Is this still relevant? Had to go back to original factory layout. But there are some problems. When at Home SW2 if I hit Presets, it shows Presets, no problem, but when hitting the preset, it does not show the Scenes in the scribbles strips, it just stays on Presets, but does show the Scenes in the Main Screen. but rendering the switches useless. I have to scroll to the View 2 (scenes) manually using the knobs OR I have to go back to the Home screen Sw2 and hit Scenes which is twice the work and tap dancing. I would rather, when hitting the preset, it automatically go to scenes for that particular Preset like it shows in the main screen. This is not ideal. I don't want to bend over at a gig to do this manual stuff. What is the fix here?

"Layout Links" is the answer...

So giving up on the OMG3 thing and went back to factory Layouts, but now my stand-in switches are not working properly. I set it up to turn on and then bypass certain effects, but now one of them is defaulting to the master layout 9 and the other is cycling through different layouts, neither is doing what it is supposed to do. I have set this up before and on my FM9T and it has worked perfectly, but because I changed the layouts to try to get OMG3 to work, but then changed it back to Factory default layout, it no longer works. What can be done to bring it back to working again?
Any changes you made were wiped out when you loaded the factory layouts, which left you with nothing but... the factory layouts. :)

If you want to save changes you made, you have to back them up. Then load the backup when you want to get back to what you had.

Check out Leon Todd’s - setting up Stand-in Switches.
