Thanks, but I also updated to the new factory presets.

Problem is even worse now though: as soon as I load the Horrorfest FM3 preset, the unit locks up. Even without a laptop connected.

If the preset uses too much CPU I would expect a warning message and the sound to shut off.
But the opposite happens: I still have sound, but all buttons and other interface elements on the FM3 lock up and no longer respond.

It was discussed about the beginning of this thread that the old HORRORFEST Preset is damaged. I had also Problems with it as i copied the new 10.0 Presets over the old ones with the manage presets window! My unit locks up and i had to reboot my pc and the fm3. Then i overwrite them with fractal-bot and all is good now!

Ok so there were some fundamental changes made. Maybe I was used to the more in-your-face sound previously. Idk. I'll mess around with these settings. I'll try reloading reverb models as well.

What does the mean exactly? We have to reload the reverbs for the existing presets to make the changes? Does this mean factory presets or user created presets before FW 10?

Digged deeper into the reverbs. Reselected the models I was using and it sounds great. And I'm able to squeeze in 8 echo density and ultra high quality on my presets with a lot of stuff. I tried the reverbs in series and parallel and they sound amazing! Love the new spacey reverbs. The plates and the new springs reverbs sound excellent and musical. I love how you can actually here 2 springs when you select that amount in the settings.

I had to dial this preset up since there seems to be so much drama about it. Huh...shocked so many are interested in this preset.

It's not about "interested"... It seems to be causing a problem for some people trying to navigate past it or replace it.

Ha, that’s correct, holiday vibes spilt over and I just jumped in and updated as soon as I could without rtfm (or thread)
No problems I’ll just reselect the reverbs and enjoy.

It's not about "interested"... It seems to be causing a problem for some people trying to navigate past it or replace it.

That's interesting as well. The idea of incrementing presets one by one is far outside my use case. And wouldn't a "Save a Copy" of another preset to that location overwrite without loading the preset?

Well that's how many people review the factory presets

And from what I remember the Save A Copy was also somehow affected... It is particularly problematic.

I have my FM3 connected to my PC, my soundcard is a Focusrite Scarlett.
When I change scenes on the FM3, sometimes the sound is cutted off from the PC. I have to restart it to get everything working.

Restart what? FM3, computer, both?

I would guess that if it happens on scene change that the scene you're changing to is overloading the CPU.

Do you have a CPU Warning on the screen?

Complexity isn't necessarily the issue.

The settings in your blocks can contribute a lot towards CPU consumption.

What Compressor model are you using? What are your Reverb Type and settings?

You've got 2 Drive blocks...

Also for future reference, it will help you better engage the users here if your post includes a translation to English as that's the language of the forum. Lots of people who don't speak Spanish will not put in the effort to translate.

Just had the time to do a thorough play through of this (I work weekends) and had no issues downloading. Also downloaded the new presets. It sounds and feels even more organic, the high gain amps are nice and spitty with rich harmonic content and the cleans are full of character. The spring and echo type reverbs are as advertised and it’s not difficult to manage cpu usage at all. I feel a bit more latency on the virtual capo in the pitch block but that’s the only noticeable thing that isn’t better than before, and I loved the previous firmware. Kudos to your team I love it already. Next time I plug in I will experiment with the drives, I didn’t prioritize them as I already checked out the fuzzes with the wicker etc on the previous beta release.

Great firmware update! I also love the sound of the factory presets. It is the first time, after playing my FM3 that I plug in my tube amp and don't think "oh that's the better amp-in-the-room-feeling. Well done Fractal!

Your preset works fine here. Make sure the Output 2 Level knob is turned up.

I needed to reload the firmware. Something was messed up. I got it working with a reinstall.

The compressor is this one and the reverb is this one. With these settings, it's impossible to use version 10.0.
