So they should be the same on both machines... anyway i m not neither software or electronic engineer..i Ve Just noticed that and i found the reason why i prefered the ii over the III on that particular amps...and i own Mark iv real amp...
Fx3 accuracy on real life amps by now, should be far beyond of the accuracy with the Fx2

Use what suits you best.
Comparing these two units is not realistic imho

Cheers 🍻

I use axe FX 3 with some parameters of the ii...i Always use my ears and i didnt follow the mass..i want Just remind you that the amps were spot on at least 10 years ago Reading all the comments...

Do you mind sharing the II’s settings? I’d love to check out the tones 🤘

Yes i ll do
These are the 2 differences... to me changing the triode plate 1 frequency with the axe II value have changed the strings feel and response( dont ask me why) at least with my configuration..( presence shift)..preamp bias escursion Is minor differences between the two.

Why not? The reference Is the real circuit of the amp...so to me if the parameter also has the same name so should be the same.
As Mr Fender stated. These are different machines running different algorithms, therefore it would be expected what you hear is not exactly the same when the updates affect the tone. How many of the current updates have resulted in a change in tone at the same settings?

The amps almost certainly get remeasured and re-evaluated in the context of the new algorithms. The newer models are likely able to recreate things differently compared to the older ones, so they may require different parameter settings to mimic the same physical circuit.

You are also using different Preamp tube models between those two screenshots as well.

I know the preamp tube difference...i talked about feel on the strings... anyway i dont have tò convince anyone..Just shared my experience.

In Vox, Tweed and some more I tried I felt a considerable loss in medium and trebles tones. I put the 28.04 again and the difference is large. Perhaps it is the intention given to the new changes. I tried several adjustments but it was not easy to reach what I am used to. Sorry for my English.
Same! I will look into the blended IRs I cooked up for 28.04 and try to see if there is something compensating there that can be massaged. I don't like the 5153 stealth blue as much with the 28.05, seems thinner or too scooped? I could very well need to rework my IR blends. Going to do a real compare tonight after dinner.

Amps in the real world can sound different. Fender and Marshall have been known to put different valued components when stock is out of the "proper" values. Two different real Mesa amps of the same model can sound and feel different. I work at a shop that used to be a Mesa dealer. Just my 2 cents.

Well, it was all me. Figures. Sounds great now We'll see how long it takes for me to screw it up again.

I've not updated to a beta FW for a while now after being disappointed by a couple versions. Now, I read all of the feedback first, and still usually wait for the release version. Some of the feedback about this beta has me curious though... the descriptions "raw" "heavier punch" "more focused" are particularly interesting. So are you saying that the beta sounds better for you now, than your last FW?
