Hallelujah! This makes setting the Level of a compressor or drive block so much easier!

1. Select the desired knob (e.g. Compressor: LEVEL)
2. Use Up Arrow/Down Arrow to make adjustments up or down.
3. Use spacebar to bypass/engage.

Zip zip... done, and zero mouse dexterity required with a guitar in your hands.

I have found a reproducible way to crash FM9 Edit.

I believe this happens with any block. Delay and Plex are the two I have tried so far.

When quickly changing 'bypass types' through the various channels, after the 3rd one or so the editor will crash. Upon reopening the editor has to rescan the block definitions etc.

Starting with an empty preset, I added a Delay and Plex block. For each channel in the blocks I changed the type and the Bypass mode.

Switching through the channels using X which steps to the next channel, and changing them ten or more times faster than the screen will redraw, I couldn't duplicate your issue. I also tried randomly switching the channels and had no problems.

I'm running Edit v1.3.11 and firmware v9.0.

Please work through the steps in https://forum.fractalaudio.com/threads/reporting-bugs-with-the-axe-fx-iii-fm9-or-fm3.191369/. It really helps the developers find and fix problems.

Hmm ya I also cannot replicate it with an empty preset. It’s only in my main preset that I can replicate it. I’ll post a thread with the appropriate information soon. Thanks for the link.

Thanks, @Michael Pickens !

While the topic of bypass is floating about, is it possible that, when clicking a bypass button with a modifier controlling it, instead of popping up a dialog telling you that it is controlled by a modifier, it could just open the modifier pane? If the user didn't want to poke at the modifier, it's the same number of clocks to make it go away, but it's a couple less clicks and mouse movements than right clicking and selecting 'open modifier pane' if you want to do that, and a lot less clicks and mouse moves than closing the dialog and right clicking if the user clumsily clicked with the wrong finger while one-handedly mousing while holding the guitar in the other hand. Just a thought. You'd be surprised how often the last case happens around here....

If your preset is running in the high 70% or above, the problem could be CPU related. Once the CPU gets above 80% it begins eating into cycles needed to process communication with the computer and Edit. If the modeler is switching rapidly then Edit might not be getting timely responses, especially when the modeler is switching to models in blocks that are really hogging the CPU.

This latest firmware update has warnings that there are blocks requiring more power, to the point that factory presets had to be reworked to reduce their demands. If your preset is a kitchen-sink or using a lot of CPU then it could be too much with this firmware.

Have a look at his bug report. Nothing to do with CPU As his test presets he provided has only 1 block. https://forum.fractalaudio.com/threads/fm9-edit-crashes.212928/

However I can't replicate his issue either!

I just downloaded and will install but was running 1.03.10 last night and noticed (?) that in the editor the knobs now have a 'glowing' hub and a 'glowing' arc around the knob to indicate where it's 'pointing.'

I honestly can't recall if this was in previous versions but it's a great quick-glance visual aid as opposed to just the numeric value label or a single dot on the knob's perimeter.

The “LED rings” were added to the knobs in version 1.03.06 way back in December.

Good to see new (or coming back) improvements for the UX!!!
@Admin M@ Can we hope to have this too https://forum.fractalaudio.com/threads/proposal-for-fast-effect-editing.180641/ ?

What was the diffusion bug in the plex delay? I have a preset on FW9 with it and I noticed being alot nicer for what I wanted ? :S

Greetings, all! ...still having issues with the new FM9-Edit (1.03.10 & 1.03.11) under Mac OS 10.14 Mojave! The editors show that my FM9 Turbo is connected, but none of the effects/patches show up, and RANF moves very slowly without fully completing the process. Unplugging and reconnecting the USB cable, all of the effects in a patch show up (as active), with RANF still moving slowly to a standstill. ...never had any issues with FM9-Edit on Mac OS 10.14 Mojave before these latest updates, it works fine under Mac OS 10.13 High Sierra (I have to use my older MacBook Pro now to use the new FM9-Edit with my FM9 Turbo), and the latest FM3-Edit (1.07.07) works without a hitch under Mac OS 10.14 Mojave. I've tried switching USB cables, I've tried different USB ports, and I've used different Macs/Mac OS's, FM9-Edit 1.03.10/1.03.11 will not work under Mac OS 10.14 Mojave!
