What Monitors?

I liked the LP-6's so much that I added a 2nd pair. I have a pair dedicated to the FM3 & a pair to play audio from the PC. This made it a lot easier to volume match the Fm3 with whatever I'm playing along to. It also eliminated a lot of latency when monitoring. I haven't turned my amps on for a month. I was going to try a set of the new Adam DV monitors, but got a pretty good deal on the V2 LP-6's.
 
Neumann KH120II and Yamaha HS8 (at different location).

Both are great. Especially the HS8 for the price…

I have assumed that when connecting via USB that would make FM9 the preferred input/output audio device, so I'd necessarily need to connect the FM directly to a device. Using USB connection would need me to necessarily open a DAW and set FM9 as input while keeping my std pc audio as output. Am I wright?

I'm pretty noob, so please bear with me

You can apply many different EQ curves to the monitors themselves.. even custom ones. It also comes with their ARC MEMS microphone that plugs into the monitors for room correction with the built in ARC software. I had Mackie and Rokits prior to these and much prefer the IKs. I know Jason Sadites put his Focals up for sale after he got his IK Precisions.

You can choose in your DAW what device you want to use. You might want the FM9 as input device and then your audio interface as output.

You don’t need a DAW to hear audio. Just tell your computer that your FM9 is your preferred audio playback device.

Yep: tried last night. I saw that you literally just need to check a box in audio mixer settings.
Unfortunately I experienced a very bad input-delay-response while being connected via USB.

Adam T7V, but I find the high a little prominent and not pleasing.
May you suggest me a monitor with softer highs? My aim is not to record, so fidelity is not an issue, but I wanna have fun at home, playing over some groove
