i think a Genelec subwoofer would probably be better, but the cost of the Sub used is more than what the two speakers cost me used

Hey Juca.. good to see you have a FM3 now. I've purchased your Katana patches before and subscribe to your YT channel. I recently got the IK iLoud Precision 5 monitors. These are spectacular. You can apply many different EQ curves to the monitors themselves.. even custom ones. It also comes with their ARC MEMS microphone that plugs into the monitors for room correction with the built in ARC software. I had Mackie and Rokits prior to these and much prefer the IKs. I know Jason Sadites put his Focals up for sale after he got his IK Precisions.

How's you rig setup?
I kinda find tedious to have to connect my unit (FM9 in my case) to the laptop via USB every time.
I was wondering if there's a smarter way (I'm a noob lol).

Same. I have the HS8S Subwoofer too, it's more than enough for me.

You have to connect your FM9 to something in order to hear it. A single USB cable is about as easy a connection as you can get. You could also connect directly to the monitors, but that’s two connections for stereo. Which is twice as tedious as one connection.
