Yes. Same here. They have identified some issues and are working on it...My FC's: 1.12
After updating FW 28, I'v imported all my layout's. That seem'd to help..
EDIT... Lost the setlist too... beware for you update!
EDIt2: something changed on ext. pedels too!
Adjust to taste as before. Much less is more nowHow would you recommend to use the cabinet room modeling?

I'v restarted my FX3 after a hour and again footcontrollers settings are gone!Yes. Same here. They have identified some issues and are working on it...
Yes, but you will still need to restore a backup of your SYSTEM. Use Fractal-Bot to send the file and then reboot the Axe-Fx when instructed.FW 28: HELP lost my both footcontrollers... possible downgrade to fw 27.03 ??
oke tnx. I'm back after restoring my backups. btw; the presets selected in songs/sets were also gone in FW 28...Yes, but you will still need to restore a backup of your SYSTEM. Use Fractal-Bot to send the file and then reboot the Axe-Fx when instructed.
If it's only your FC LAYOUTS that need to be restored (as compared to the full SYSTEM including Audio, Global, FCs, etc) AND you have a backup of your layouts, you can restore that instead.
If you only restored the SYSTEM+GB+FC file backup, your presets should still be there. This part of the restore is independent and only deals with system settings, global block, FC section setlists and songsoke tnx. You need to load in you old settings (Backup) use fbot to load in only your systemsettings after downgrade FWFW 28: HELP lost my both footcontrollers... possible downgrade to fw 27.03 ??
EDIT: Downgrade to 27.03 don't help![]()
How do you know what he needs ? (I need more power)You have an AxeFX III, you already have more CPU than you’ll ever need…
Buy 2?How do you know what he needs ? (I need more power)

I was lurking to see your feedback man, we have had interesting discussions on these amps. Can't wait to read what you think after a test drive of the new improvements, we tended to agree on the Friedman's.Let’s goooooo
fwiw, I was the one who asked him that in that episode. This was during the period when I was trying to chase the tone of the Ares-firmware in the new Cygnus-based BE/HBE. But Cliff himself later clarified that the two models had differences in the preamp (location of the gain pot to be precise) which would make them sound and feel quite a bit different. I don’t know how much the new NFB values etc. will help get that older model’s tone but I can’t wait to try.
Well...time to visit the stock Leon's #34 again, and the 2204 brightGood LORD MAN the JCM800 has once again had even more magic applied!! It IS tighter in the low end, but subtly and perfectly, it all sounds tightened up in my 2203 High (it WAS absolutely perfect!)
The JFET Studio Compressor up front in the chain (where i prefer to apply comp in my setup) is INCREDIBLE!! Went from what is now the Modern VCA Compressor (think it was the Studio FF prior in 27.x), and first checked out Rockguy, VERY nice, but I'm just givin' 'em a quick review, so next I checked out the JFET and my PANTS got tight!!! The gritty fullness it added is so perfect, and with the new triode algo for the JCM800 it.....I almost hesitate to say it, because "how can it be every single time now??"....MORE feel and tighter across the board, once again, for the 8th? 9th? time, perfected the JCM800!! I just cannot believe what I'm feeling and hearing.
Lastly, I just want to say how noticable it is that all the default settings on just about any device chosen now are nearly perfect! It takes very little, if any, time to dial in what I'm looking for from said device. This time it was the new JFET Studio Compressor; choose, enjoy perfection. Sure I can tweak it, and probably will someday, but the point is, it's already dialed into a fantastic setting for most uses. Just another bonus I am noticing more and more.
Once again, just scatching the surface on v28, I'm sooooo happy it was Fractal I chose to cross over to modelling with. Fractal is the absolute GOAT and with Cliff and his team, I don't see that ever changing. This is just insane joy, thank you SO MUCH Cliff and all the beta testers, what a whopping release, SO much great stuff!! Feels like I need to put up Christmas decorations again.![]()

I thought they were great last update. I'm fn stoked
Start with that bass knob. Most purists leave it at 1, or believe in removing it all together at 0. Lead drive and gain , 7.9 for both. Mids, 4-5. Treble quite high, 7.9 is magic yet again.(something about that treble knob adds gain Imho, I'm sure bigger boogie nerds could elaborate further)The master volume sweet spot is around 4, 5 tops. In the post eq a V is money. You can then boost it, but if your pickup is hot enough, no boost is needed really. You can juice it a bit more subtle like, by just going to the pre input in the amp block with the default Q and adding anywhere from a 2db- 5db mid boost at around 800 to 1000hz, and put a low cut at around 90hz for good measure. They took me a minute to figure out, once I learned those eq knobs were "pre"( before) the gain it all made sense. On a Mesa Boogie amplifier, the tone controls are located in the preamp section, meaning they affect the sound before the signal reaches the power amp stage, allowing you to shape your tone before it gets amplified to full volume. Almost like they already put a tube screamer in the thing. It's sooo worth learning though. Those amps slapCan to share your preset? I’m still figuring out how to get a good Mark tone.

Do these new algorithms push the Axe3 so much that they couldn't be ported to the FM9 or FM3? I ask because I plan to buy an FM9 or a used Axe3 next month. If we are at the point where some amp model updates are going to be too much for the FM9 then that definitely steers me towards the Axe3. Otherwise, the FM9 does more than I need.fwiw, this is the best sounding firmware yet. I had these new triode algorithms but I didn't think they'd run in real time. On a lark, I coded them and was surprised to see them run with sufficient overhead.
You'll be just fine with the FM9. The improvements on the AF3 will make their way to the FM9Do these new algorithms push the Axe3 so much that they couldn't be ported to the FM9 or FM3?
