It’s got channels and scenes.

If you are interested in having a lot more possibilities just do like Steve vai and buy a axe 3.

Or, if you're really disappointed with the unveiling of a new product you had high expectations for from a manufacturer you trust, you let them know. And, yes, you just might "bitch it into existence."
 
I'm going to get the VP4 when available; it'll be a nice, small, very useful pedal to bring out to jams where I use tube amps at the various jam spots.

I currently use a Vox Tonelab SE for that at the moment but would love something a little more modern with a fuller feature set, and this will fit the bill perfectly.

And... yeah, one is a significantly more complex device with more complex interfaces and functions... and yet a mere $150 more expensive. A competitors product (H90) selling for more, but having less effects...

You may not see that as odd but it seems odd to me
 
If I had an amp that would mean I’ve won the lottery and bought a big ole empty warehouse somewhere and thus I’d have dozens of amps and I would have a walk-in closet sized pedal spice rack. This would just get lost in the sauce. For some, this is IT, though, and I’m happy for them.
 
4 seems a little shy on the blocks count to me.. I have an AF3 so maybe I'm spoiled? not counting the amp and cab blocks I'd guess most of my AF3 presets are a minimum of 5-6 blocks if not more.. I'd love something like this for real amp/cab usage but this is probably not for me.

You think he does that? He and his team do the design work and post manufacturing effort. It’s still too expensive to do everything in-house. The actual manufacturing is contracted out to China and elsewhere. He doesn’t tool up. All the parts are made elsewhere, assembled elsewhere. FAS does the quality control and shipping. Just like everyone else. His vendors roll manufacturing cost for any new tooling - and by the way there isn’t much: laser or water table cutting, laser etching faceplates, CCA manufacturing printing and populating - into their bid to get his business. Buy or build often ends up being buy because it’s always cheaper to order xxx boards in a production run from a company that just does that. That’s why you see the pace of product life cycle that you see from the outside: the pre ordering period helps a company to set the number of parts to order fir the initial run, when you see them tun out, when you start to see B-stock units for sale on the site, all of that.

So 6 minus Amp, Cab, Input, Output means you only need two blocks, right? ;)
