I guess since I already have the dual tonex, and excited to try the new Fractal product. Also, there are those that say, as great as the amp models are in Fractal, that the extremely subjective "feel" of Tonex is quite enjoyable to play.

What does that even mean? If you were referring to other forums, then NDSP's actual physical product release was discussed far more, it's silly to claim otherwise. If you're referring to this forum, then obviously it would be discussed less since mention of its release was actively removed.

It's the manufacturer forum. This isn't a deep mystery needing solved.

Oh FFS I understand that, but his original comment claimed it was a brilliant marketing strategy for FAS to announce this since it made people discuss it far more than discussing NDSP's product. That claim makes no sense if a product cannot be discussed inside this forum, and is very clearly being discussed far more outside of this forum since it is an actual physical product to be tested and reviewed.

Probably best to sign up to a forum that isn't beholden to any manufacturers to discuss that stuff without risk of it being closed or deleted. So that'd be thegearforum.com ...... annnndddd I'm out of recommendations... certainly isn't thegearpage!!!

Hmmm....if I go to that manufacturer's forum, I don't find a 'Lounge' section or an 'off topic' section or an 'other manufacturer's' section. I wonder why that is?

I've been on this forum for every product release since 2011. If memory serves, at some point during every release, folks seem to loose it and get upset. I've enjoyed the playful jokes and silly banter in this thread as people wait with enthusiasm for the big reveal. But then someone gets upset and comments turn into nastiness. I guess that I'm a lurker because I don't want to get my head bit off when I say something that someone on the interwebs thinks is stupid, which I seem to do despite my best efforts (this post possibly being a case in point). This is just gear, people. As Rodney King said so many years ago, "Can't we all just get along?"

All indications are that the two items being tangentially discussed are not even going to be competing with one another....so I'm not sure what we're talking about.

(Actually true for all 104 pages, but hey....)
