Does this mean when importing 3rd party IRs checking the min phase box will no longer be necessary to play nice with everything else?

Importing 3rd party IRs in the current IR format would use the current IR processing method. i dont think you can mix these dynamic placement IRs with old "one mic and position" IRs.

It's an either/or.

You don't need proximity. It's inherently there because you have a Distance control. This is "real" proximity vs. simulated.

Content producers can make their own Dyna-Cabs but they will need to rent our robot and software. We have a second robot for just that.

I find this bit interesting. While there are many modelers that already have a graphical interface for positioning a mic, IIRC this is the first time a modeler is offering to let 3rd parties create an IR bundle to work with that graphical interface. I suspect whoever is first to step up and include support for 3rd parties has a chance of establishing their format as an industry standard.

I remember comments made a long time ago that Cliff needed to model the glass and wires inside tubes to be totally accurate. Obviously, miking the tubes was the precursor to modeling them.
