Axe-Fx Firmware Version 21.01

I was right in front of Axe-Edit III (duh) so I checked it out. I was shocked to discover that the Fat parameter in the Wah block is usually set to 8.70 in the Factory presets (!), altho there are some with different values. Fat value can range from 0.00 to 10.00, so 8.70 is close to 50/50 dry/wet. I might have to do some testing, just to see what would happen if Fat was set to 0.00 in a preset where it was previously set to 8.70.

Anyway, long way of saying that you were right, 0 is not the default.
Thanks for confirming.

Although I enjoyed listening to Eric's, Jimi's and Stephen Stills' use of wah pedals in the old days when I first started playing, I never incorporated that sound myself. Upon hearing the Paragon Wah, though, after 55 years ( and happily still counting ), I've changed my mind and am quite enjoying using it. All my musician friends back in Canada were very surprised to hear this! Thanks ever so much, Mr. Chase and team! - Brian Cooper, Shinkai Studio, Japan.

Great thing for the High treble knob ! Just noticed it yesterday.
I don't know if I read the manual wrong or if it is improper use but also in the preamp tab (amp block), the low cut frequency parameter doesn't seem to be linked to the CUT switch on the IDEAL tab. I thought this is what the cut switch was supposed to do, engage the low cut frequency parameter. Right now it seems to be always on no matter if the cut switch enabled.

The low cut is not linked to the cut switch, its the input lowcut that gets adjusted as seen on the input eq page

There seems to be a bug in this firmware when trying to use two amp blocks blended together in a preset. Only one amp will sound. Can someone confirm.

Edit: It was user error.

I think I found a bug in the drive block, specifically the Clone Chiron. When this cube is connected, there is noise even with the guitar completely muted using the volume potentiometer. Noise gate doesn't help. Such noise does not occur when using a different drive cube. I checked it on two guitars so I conclude that the problem is not with my guitar. The noise can be heard even with the drive cube volume set to position 3. Of course, the noise increases when the volume is increased. With other drive cubes, there is no noise even with the volume position set to 10.

Go to the advanced tab and set bias to 0.001, this kills the excessive noise.

Then maybe the 0.001 nixing the noise is a bug. :D Either way, probably bears at least a quick looking at by the folks who look at things.... :)
'zactly!

Edit:

Would be worth checking on FM9... I'll try to check later just to see. My Axe Fx III is a little lonely these days as I'm mostly using the FM9. Haven't even updated to FW21 yet.
