Based on the amount, and awesomeness, of stuff that should be included in the 6.0 update, I bet it's going to feel like it did.I think FM3 should skip Firmware 6-10 and go straight to 11…

Hopefully before L6 releases 3.2 or this thread reaches 9k posts like on tgp….They said "We will keep you updated as we close in". If I'm understanding this correctly, I am not sure I'd expect a public beta today, provided there hasn't been further communication since.

The sky is not falling... There's been zero mention of updates stopping for the FM3. Please don't start that ball rolling. We were told two months ago that they started working on version 6. The amount of time this takes makes me a little pessimistic about future releases. It reminds me of the AX8 where the last release took time to finish and then only came with partial Ares modelling.
Hope I am wrong...
The FM3 in its current state sounds and feels awesome and is capable of more that I will ever need, but a new firmware always cheers me up. So I hope there will still be a couple down the road for this nice little device.
Have you ever thought about getting a Stomp to use in your effect loop? You could offload some CPU demands to the Stomp and have a built in back up at the same time...and all with a small footprint. If the FM3 were to go turbo…. I’ve changed my mind in that I would upgrade… mainly for having a backup if one goes down live. Having my whole rig in one box is problematic if Murphy’s law is true… which it has proved to be in my case.
But having said that, the FM9 is as good as not existing because they’re not usually readily available. Makes me wonder even if they did upgrade the FM3, would supply keep up w/demand?
If they’re able to keep readily making them it makes me think they’ll be around for a while longer.

I agree with this. I will also say that, even if the FM3 goes turbo, the only upgrade from my FM3 I'd be interested in would be the full AxeFX3. For my purposes, the FM3 is the perfect tool. There's really no competition with its price point, size, and capabilities. If the FM3 were to go turbo…. I sold my stomp to help pay for the FM3. I do somewhat regret it for the B/u reason… but it was last year during lockdowns and I just couldn’t do it otherwise.Have you ever thought about getting a Stomp to use in your effect loop? Just need one last good update to say goodbye and to feel that warm fuzzy peacefulness one more time before I get clean and stop updating.
And then Im all set with this shit always waiting around like a moron-
I mean it this time I’m done.
... still hope for:
