While I didn't measure it, I have the sibling SC20H, the smaller JCM800, that is also quite loud. I think the lower watt rating is marketing to make it more appealing to bedroom players who love the classics from their youth... I can admit, the marketing worked on me!I haven't tested the 5W power output but the 20W setting is more than 20W. Clean power output is about 25W. Then you have to factor in that Plexis get their distortion from overdriving the power amp so power output when pushed is probably 30-40W.
Proving a negative? That's called a trap. I don't know if you have that kind of free time, I sure don't.I am really curious. Can someone post a recording of that fantastic and unique SV20H with a tone that could not be achieved with the Axe-FX III?

With all the tools in the AFIII you could make a German shepherd barking sound like an ES335 thru a Dumble - but the point is you don't have to tweak when you have so many out of the box amp choices. That's why we like so many amps, it means less tweaking to get "there" and there is a place we don't all agree on. : )
Cool! What IR do you use for that?... With all the tools in the AFIII you could make a German shepherd barking sound like an ES335 thru a Dumble...

You are going to upload that to Axechange, right???I use a Trombone IR that I shot in a swimming pool hanging from a tree swing.
