Firmware 2.01 beta 3 is now in the hands of the beta team. In addition to some other nice changes, a lot of work was done to ensure smooth performance of the editor.
Great to hear. On my higher load presets editing requires a lot of software restarts. But the sound is so good I didn’t want to go back.

Sooooooo……Soon?

man I am so hoping we get that second switch press = prev scene
looks like there are a few second press , prior channel , and prior preset now

But the Scene one would far an away be the most useful to go. from lead back to clean , crunch
also he editor showed a Dark mode the other day and it was awesome , maybe that will show up soon

A second press = previous preset would certainly be beneficial in some situations. Last night I was recording something where I was just engaging a flanger for a second, I kept hitting the same switch over and over again. Eventually I assigned it to a momentary switch but couldn't get it functioning just right....so I then assigned the mix of the flanger to an expression pedal and it did the trick.

Does scene toggle not work for what you guys want?

I have a patch where for a part of the song I have to change scenes momentarily, for about a second.

I have switch setup as a scene "toggle" where scene 3 is the primary scene and scene 6 is the secondary. When I need to go into scene 6 I just hit the switch and then just hit it again without having to move my foot to another switch that quickly to go back to previous scene. Obviously it won't work like a back button on a browser as it toggles back and forth between primary and secondary, but if you need the "previous scene" functionality for a quick in and out of multiple effects, scene toggle works great.

The toggle options are always between two specific things.

The "previous" option is much more flexible and doesn't require setting a separate switch.

Correct, but once you switch from what you setup as the primary scene to the secondary scene, the next time you click it it will go back to your primary (in this case previous) scene.

Clearly not as flexible but just mentioning it as a potential solution given the requirements of the song don't require that additional flexibility.

I didn’t even think of that. Usually when I’m in the middle of recording, I won’t spend a whole lot of time programming/tweaking, so I go for the quickest option. I completely forgot about this option altogether but I’ll most definitely incorporate it into some live presets. Thanks, man!

My pleasure. Obviously as others have pointed out not quite as flexible as simply having a "last scene" press, but depending on the application gets the job done just the same.

Does it make them easier to read?
Personally, not a fan. The LCD display is actually fairly small, despite how big each 'window' is; so it looks like a small black box inside a giant illuminated bezel with the lettering illuminated. I can see how some might like it, but to me, the contrast (my perception, not the official function) looks better in the normal, noninverted way. Now if the WHOLE box were black except for the writing, I'd go for that, but the way it works now due to the screens used just doesn't work for me.

If the mini displays were OLED then they could turn off the pixels not in use. They might have burn-in issues though. The cost would also be unreasonable.

Yep; I'm not complaining. I'm glad there's a choice, but I won't be using it. Actually, I might experiment with various brightness and contrast settings. Maybe I'll stumble across a setting I end up liking.

Yes not impressed with the scribble strips at all, and the big ass frame around the inverted color scheme is no help. I haven't gone as far as to count pixels, but I'd guess about 30% of that screen is being poorly utilized. I'd almost just assume they have no scribble strips at this rate.
