[implemented] Scene Toggle last scene

I had an idea for something I think would be quite useful: allowing the Scene Toggle switch function to use "last scene" for the alternate scene value.

Imagine you have all your scene switches as Scene Toggle like this:

Sw#1 - Scene 1 / Last Scene
Sw#2 - Scene 2 / Last Scene
Sw#3 - Scene 3 / Last Scene
Sw#4 - Scene 4 / Last Scene
Etc

This would allow you to quickly jump to a new scene and then back to the prior scene with a 2nd tap of the same switch.

You could quickly throw in a lead or fill and then back to the main sound, without needing to move your foot to another switch.

This would be limited to the current preset (this isn't backtracking, which a different wish).

When the preset loads, the last scene would do nothing as there is not yet a last scene.

I think this could be easy to implement, but I have no inside knowledge - could be completely off-base :)

I completely agree, this feature would be a GREAT UpDate. I logged in today, just to request it. You did a great job breaking it down. This would be very handy for both practice and shows. I hope Cliff see it.

Thanks for bumping it... I actually forgot about it since it didn't seem to get much attention when I posted it.

I do think it could be quite handy.

I missed this. Agree! I have tried to get RJM to do this for the midi board instead, but it hasn’t happened. I would use it pretty much every preset.

+1
My wish was similar in that I wanted "Revert to last preset" when pressing the preset button a second time. But this was before scenes came on the ... scene. Revert to previous scene would be a great addition.

Agreed, this is an excellent idea +1

With every patch having a default scene (the scene active when the patch was saved), it wouldn't be that much more to add secondary or "back to scene default" within the patch settings. If any other scene is selected, that would be the new "back to scene" if pressed again. Also a debounce setting, would be nice. This would set how much time would need to pass before jumping back to the calling scene. Maybe like 1 to 500 ms, with 0 defeating this feature all together. This would avoid the rear occasion of a double press, of a scene button.

Having the option for Last Scene would be a great addition.

yes now that i think about it more i could see it being very useful especially on a lead scene were you want to go back to where you were

the clean say if its a ballad or the crunch
toggle back would be very useful indeed nice idea Unix
