RJM Mastermind GT/22 Compatibility?

Can you "Bank Up" and "Bank Down" over more than 128 Axe presets(banks on GT) ? I followed Ron's instructions and attempted to load 0-383 but I can't Bank Up beyond 128: Rackmount Preamps X2.

That's a limitation when you use "Get Scenes". The upcoming release should take this limitation away.

Thinking of making up a few of the phantom power boxes pictured above, seeing RJM has none in stock and they are 80. Any interest in them, could probably do $40 and would be 1/3 the size of that big thing. PM me if interested.

Got mine in the mail yesterday. Haven’t had a chance to try it out, but workmanship looks great. Good value here, @dpeterson ! Thanks mucho.

Quick update on this, since I spaced it out before: I bought one of these little units when it looked like RJM’s were backordered. Couldn’t be happier. Works great, it’s small and well-labeled, and it fits in a little nook to the side of the AFX in the short SKB case I’m using. Small power supply for the foot controller sits in the nook on the other side of the rack. So I can button up the whole thing with all three MIDI cables inside the back, and all I need to do is hook up the one to my GT16 when I get to the gig.

Cool glad it worked out, glad to help. Still have a couple left.

Could someone please share with me their AxeFx III MIDI/Remote settings from the setup menu? I've watched the RJM video and copied the settings but the update is still not working for me. I've updated my GT/22 to 4.1.0 and I'm running FW1.15. The GT is sending midi changes to the III as I can turn on the III tuner. I am unable to get the III to send presets to the GT22 when trying to GET PRESETS.

Also, I'm running phantom power through a single MIDI cable and the RJM power box. The MIDI cable from that unit is correctly going into MIDI In on the III.

But you’ve got two MIDI cables attached to the III, right?

And that's the problem. The RJM Phantom Power Box from the Axe-Fx II does not work on the III. That box only needs one cable. The version for the III uses two cables.

I have the PPA-DIN7F-1 but now need the PPA-DIN7F-2

Thanks for helping!

Hi guys,

I'm having a small issue trying to use a Mission SP-1RJM with the GT. I'm trying to setup a global wah. I've got Out 1 on the Mission connected to exp pedal 1 on the GT and out 2 on the mission (toe switch) plugged into footswtch 1/2 on the GT.

I've assigned ext 1 to the sweep of the wah in axe edit but the little graph shows no moment when the pedal is being moved toe up or toe down. I've also assigned FW1 in the gt's editor to turn on wah block 2 on the axe III but on the pedal itself the red on light is constantly on and when I try to turn it off nothing happens.

What do you think I'm doing wrong?

Thanks
Paul

did you associate XP1 on the GT to External 1 on the Axe?

I did Chris yes. I've just noticed something though I didn't set the external 1 control in the midi menu of the axe to cc 11 which I have now and set the ext 2 to cc12 for vol. The graph now moves up and down when the pedal is moved. I still can't figure out why the toe switch won't work though. It's constantly on for some reason.

Any ideas?

this part is "associating XP1 on the GT to external 1 on the Axe" :) without doing this step, XP1 is sending messages, but the Axe has not been setup to point them to the right thing.

the SP1 switch was originally designed to be used with XP ports, not XS ports. try using XP2 instead. you'll need to change XP2 from Continuous to Momentary or Latching/Toggle on the MMGT menu, if i remember correctly.

Thanks Chris, I will give it a go. Are you sure that's correct with the toe switch on the SP-1RJM? I was reading the GT manual the latest release and it said if using an SP1-RJM to use one of the switch inputs on the GT.
