I know the modeling is slightly better but I’ve been finding amazing amp sounds easily since the inclusion of the speaker comp parameter on the II.

I’m super excited about the effects upgrades:
8 Plex delays
Tri chorus
4 voices per pitch block
Denser reverbs
Improved pitch tracking
Envelope built into some effects

Channels and the new fc 6/12 controllers also look amazing!

I can put everything I want in one preset now. No compromising. It all fits with room to spare. On the XL+ I was still making choices about what blocks to include and exclude. No such choices need be made on the III for me.

- 16 Drive channels (4 simultaneous drive pedals on the grid with 4 channels each) per patch for more complete "virtual pedal board" options

- 2 FX loops (or 3 if you have effects with XLR outs)

Where and what type is this Pre-EQ? (I'm quite crap at dialling in EQ - unless it's a slider type graphic EQ. Well I mean I know how to twiddle the parameters of a parametric type but it's deciding when to stop twiddling is the bit that kills me).

It's at the front of the amp, before the gain stages or anything else. It's parametric, with an added high- and low-cut.
