The presets were created from scratch not using blocks from the Block library? That makes no sense because the reset sets the values to default. If you had not changed them from the previous default they would be the same because the defaults for those parameters didn't change. Edit: Speaker...

The "random" preset thing may not be random. Midi presets are 0-127 (or 1-128 with offset in place). The Fractal has multiple banks of presets. If your offset is set to 1, they will be 1-128, 129-256, 257-384. If you are on preset 150 you are in the 2nd bank. If you send PC 001 while you...

Did you save the channel or the whole block? Saving the whole block is way to get modifiers. Saving the channel only does not. That is normal behavior for all blocks.

Presets saved on a newer Firmware will not run on older firmware. They will appear as "empty". Before loading Ares take a full backup including system settings and presets. If you want to revert back you would need to also have the firmware file for the version you're on. To revert just...

While I understand the desire, I don't think it's possible under the current modifier architecture without a major overhaul of how modifiers work. You are using the same controller to control multiple things. There's no "focus" being shifted, only what you've set the preset to use that...

The OP mentioned using a USB to midi cable. That would be USB on the computer end and midi DIN on the FM3 side, so he's already got that covered... Edit: Sound card is not relevant for midi...

It is already, sort of that way... Both Fractal and some beta team members do it. However much work is involved, I'm not sure it makes sense for Fractal to open the factory presets to the community. That being said, the presets are there and there is nothing preventing the community at large...

Based on past experience with the previous generations, I think we can expect about a 10-year cycle for the current generation. That means about 4 more years. Considering the new stuff needs to be designed well in advance of release but is also dependent on 3rd party hardware such as DSP chips...

There has been a previous wish for a "multi-modulation effect" block that is a very similar idea... I don't think that will ever be implemented in the current architecture because a Chorus block is not a Flanger block.

You're going to need to elaborate. What does "change" mean in this case? If you mean (for example) you have Amp 1 in preset 1 and you make a setting change to that block and save the preset, then you want those changes to also be applied to Amp 1 in preset 2, that is where Global Blocks come...

Is it possible to control GCX Audio Switcher with MFC-101?

You would need to configure the switches you want to use as "general" midi switches. Send the relative midi CC# with the data value of 127 to turn on and data value of 0 to turn off. Control of multiple loops with a single switch may be limited. I don't recall how many total midi commands are...

These batteries when used in the Axe Fx II seem to have a life of 10 years or more. I haven't seen any real reports of needing replacement on the Axe Fx III (which has existed about 6 years) or the FM9 (which is even newer). I wouldn't be concerned about the battery... BUT you should already...

What you're proposing in #2 isn't possible. The grid shows what's loaded on the hardware. Remember that the editor is a "client" of the physical unit. What's loaded on the hardware must be supported by the hardware, including block instances and CPU consumption.
