Any tips on how to get the effect on You Give Love a Bad Name intro?
I’m using a Pitch block with Fixed Harmony at 12 and -12 but I don't think it's that close.
Cheers.

I always feel that the lower octave always comes over louder than the higher octave. Mind the original recording only has the high octave on. It's also a very extreme setting so try and get the octave effect higher than the original effect.

I use a pitch block with one voice up an octave (12) and another a fifth above that (19). That's how I hear it on the original. Shifting up 19 half steps is a lot, so I have the mix for that voice lower than the octave. Set overall mix to taste, I do it so the voices are audible but more as a thickener rather than sounding like separate guitars. I'm pretty happy with it. I'd post a patch, but I'm on FW6 :).

yeah, just tried it. pitch mix on 35%.

voice one = +12, 100%, voice two = +19, 30%

i also hear some chorusing, so try the dimension with a slow rate - .25hz, depth 25%, mix 50%
