I have 2 of the MF10 Pro/M which both are powered. I think at lower volumes they don't sound as clear, you have to crank them to get a balanced sound. I still have 1 CLR which I'm not giving up. Volume-wise it'll blow out the Redsound. The CLR's seem quite a bit brighter to me but that could be the difference in the speaker angle. I love the lighter weight and compact size of the MF10's. Overall I'm pretty happyHave a pair of them as well. When cranked they sound great but it does seem the powered side gets more signal than the passive at lower volumes. These have been a replacement for a pair of the powered CLR wedges which neither is functional at this point. To my ear, the CLR's sounded better, especially when streaming music through them.....not sure if some of that is 12 inch versus a 10 inch speaker.
Overall happy with the RedSound. Didn't realize the 12 inch were coming out or would have probably waited to pull the trigger.
I have yet to find any speaker that's truly "flat". They all seem to have their own voicing/sound. I had a pair of the D8's, loved them, kinda miss them but I'm now using Focal Solo6 BE with matching sub in my studio and they are translating perfectly to the MF10 Pro's.I have two MF10 Pro's.
Still struggling with the sound.
The CLR's are indeed a tad brighter and more crisp sounding but both not nearly as crisp or bright as my Equator D8's.
I did find out however that speaker placement is crucial.
When putting them in the same position as theD8's, on my desk with the tweeter at ear height, they did sound brighter.
But the MF10's are far from flat. The lows are exaggerated as to simulate a 4x12" I think.
