Who's Using Redsound FRFR?

Fractal Fanatic
I have a pair of MT10 Pro/M speakers and they sound fantastic. Closest to amp in a room yet. The only thing for me, is just one cab sometimes doesn't cut it power-wise. Just wondering what other user experiences are.

Have a pair of them as well. When cranked they sound great but it does seem the powered side gets more signal than the passive at lower volumes. These have been a replacement for a pair of the powered CLR wedges which neither is functional at this point. To my ear, the CLR's sounded better, especially when streaming music through them.....not sure if some of that is 12 inch versus a 10 inch speaker.

Overall happy with the RedSound. Didn't realize the 12 inch were coming out or would have probably waited to pull the trigger.

The Elis-8 pair is very nice. High-end, audiophile quality monitors. Plenty loud for home use. I haven't used them with a drummer, but I would think they could keep up in a smaller size venue. Super quiet, high level of detail, full sound and not overly bright, and excellent stereo image. They work very well with a wide range of inputs, but love the Fractal gear. It's like they were made for each other. I can definitely recommend them. I would be very interested in the 12" Pro/M version if I needed something like that for gigging.

They will probably wind up going for sale though once my V3 preamp arrived for the FR-10s. The Fenders offer an extra level of practicality with the eq and line out, and the new preamp is going solve many of the FMC issues.

I have 2 of the MF10 Pro/M which both are powered. I think at lower volumes they don't sound as clear, you have to crank them to get a balanced sound. I still have 1 CLR which I'm not giving up. Volume-wise it'll blow out the Redsound. The CLR's seem quite a bit brighter to me but that could be the difference in the speaker angle. I love the lighter weight and compact size of the MF10's. Overall I'm pretty happy

I have two MF10 Pro's.
Still struggling with the sound.
The CLR's are indeed a tad brighter and more crisp sounding but both not nearly as crisp or bright as my Equator D8's.
I did find out however that speaker placement is crucial.
When putting them in the same position as theD8's, on my desk with the tweeter at ear height, they did sound brighter.
But the MF10's are far from flat. The lows are exaggerated as to simulate a 4x12" I think.

Moi. 1 Elis8. Bought and shipped from Italy. No issues. I’m a hobby, bedroom player though.

Edit:
I usually don't turn it up too loud and it sounds fine, but totally agree it sounds better when I’ve turned up the volume.

I have two Elis8 Pro, and they need volume to open up. At low volume, they found very flat (but then again, everything sounds flat at low volume except for exaggerated hi-fi systems). I haven't yet used them for a gig,so the jury's still out for headroom.

I have yet to find any speaker that's truly "flat". They all seem to have their own voicing/sound. I had a pair of the D8's, loved them, kinda miss them but I'm now using Focal Solo6 BE with matching sub in my studio and they are translating perfectly to the MF10 Pro's.

@Dpoirier totally agree with this "they need volume to open up". Once my CLR's were broken in they were pretty consistent at different volume levels

Have an Elis.8. Love it. Have done smaller gigs with just the one powered speaker and nothing into the PA and it sounded fine. (But our drummer isn't super loud and I'm the only electric guitar).

Elis.8's here as well. I'm not currently gigging, have only turned them up a few times. They sound better when turned up, or rather when I turn up out 1 on my FM9 (the Elis8's are set at 8), but they still sound pretty darn good at lower volumes, if a little dark.
