Who digs the Friedman models?

I feel this. the cameron ccv model is like a friedman with the openness of a boogie. I find friedmans are pretty picky with pickups. they sound 'huge', and if i put a 'huge' sounding guitar through it, it can sound a little muffled unless I use pre-EQ. I'm sure they're designed with vintage(ish) voiced pickups in mind but for the last 8 months my axe 3 has been parked on a ccv 2b and 2c and i've never felt i had a bettter hotrod marshall tone

Just a few posts (on TGF) after the one where Cliff explained the changes between the Ares and Cygnus Friedmans, he expressly stated that FAS Hot Rod is not meant to be an idealised Friedman of any sort. It’s its own thing.

HBE C45 is my jam

Gotta tweak the hell out of it, hi pass the input, find the right cab, but when it's dialed in it might be my favorite Marshall-style sound.

@Sean Ashe I also love the CCV models. They sound killer.

Also, congrats on being honored with the 40th anniversary Tom Anderson build series. I have two TAG guitars and l they are the finest instruments I own.
