I have been interested in trying out a Fortin Natas after hearing some cool clips of it online. So until that day comes, I decided to try and replicate what I have heard of it to hold me over. While tweaking for this tone, I kept hearing qualities that I knew certain amp had, but did not have enough gusto to get the job done. That is until I fed a Tubescreamer into a FET boost. I suppose, I could be totally wrong, but the FET boost acts as a quasi-preamp like this. I am able to add more gain, and shape the tone with the FET's tone controls, without changing the initial character of the amp I am using. Then I add the Tubescreamer upfront to bring it over the edge. What I ended up with is a very convincing Natas tone, considering I have never played one, and went strictly off of Youtube vids. haha It sounds lovely for both razor sharp palm muting and string ringing clarity. I will include the patch, so you can get a roundabout idea of what I did.
