Which amp sealed the deal for you?

Thamks Psycho !! :D

The Axe is so amazing when it's time to record ...
I purchased when it was at fw7.xx and It was just the time when AxeEdit was unavailable ... I remember me studiyng ALL manuals even the MFC before the arrive .
But now ... after 2+ Years so many changes !!

Axe Edit came out and the Axe Becomes a joy for the eyes too !!
Now I literally put really little time to get the sound I want ... only "limitation" is CPU
I was overwhelmed reading about what actually is an Ir and how it works and how many people seeming very in depth with how it works .
I may say that this community it's one of the reason I purchased my Axe ... then G66 SUPER .... then all at Fas answering on the forum ... whoaww that's changed my paradigm

I had a GSP2101 legend at his time , pretty happy butr not totally happy so I switch back to a real thing .
I'm a purist of sound ( as every other fractalite I guess ) so Switching system ... analogue pedals ... buffers etc ... really great stuff I still playing .

But now !! Fas is sooo f.....in' awesome
Unfortunately I purchased the axe just when my band had a split ... but it helps me to stay focused on wht I love (music) and make every home session a great concert !!
(imagine me at home with my real triplerecto with my real mesa 4x12 at 0.0001 volume .... NO WAY !!! )

Axe FX is Awesome and his Greatness starts at low bedroom level !!!

Oooooops sorry for the off topic :p

Just curious. Where did you find the information about IRs?

in general , when I purchased the AF2 was in fw7 so new discoveries every day for aeveryone here I suppose .. If you search in the forum , you 'll find very interesting threads

I suggest you all the Cliff Notes in the News and Annoncements ...
In depth information , tips and tricks from the President Himself :)

By the way Ir's change all what you ear from an Amp so it's something to always take in count . If you can't reach what you're searching for as tone tweaking an amp ... 99.9% of times is the choice of the Ir .
The 0.1% can be thatthis amp in real world don't have a micked sound that you really know or that you can really appreciete and enjoy as a guitarist ( everyone is different and even if AF2 is awesome I know I'm not capable of extracting good tones from all the 200+ amps availeble )

Good look & First ... Good Music !!! The only thing that really matters :)

The whole Carol-Ann line, 50 watt Plexi high, JTM 45, Dual Verb, and the Supro really impressed me a lot, too.

I'm actually really excited for this tour to end so I can explore more with all of these cool new FW updates and try out what you've all been liking.

Friedman HBE, Euro Uber, 5153 red, FAS modern, 5150, Triptik. It might however change as I find some time to experiment with the other ones.

Thanks for the info. I will check it out.

On the flip side I am disappointed with the Fryette D60 models. If that is what they sound like in real life, I don't want one! Not a patch on the Sig: X I used to own.

The JTM 45 did it for me. It was the first clean sound that I thought had a real three dimensional quality to it. Having a credible clean sound was huge for me since I am not a high gain player.

Another thing that sealed the deal - the wah works great with either clean sounds or distorted. Not all wahs do that (some disappear in high gain). As the wah received more improvements over time, I stopped using external wahs and knew my setup could be 100% axe fx.

I think it changes from time to time but 5153 Red with gain turned way down (it's got way too much gain just like in real life :D ) and Friedman HBE. Those are what I'm using most of the time.

once it arrived in late 2012 it was the Bogner Blue and SLO 100. Today its the Diezel VH4, Herbert, Bogner Red and Blue, SLO, both Triptiks, AFS100, BE and HBE....its so hard to choose now!
