Where to start for Rikki Don't lose that number Solo sound?

Did an album about 3 decades ago with Skunk producing, this was when he was doing the gig with Entwhistle. Anyways he always tended to favor amps that prolly should be used for pedal steel.
I'm not sure I'd think the Bassman or any Fender be a good choice seeing that thise V4s literally are meant to not break up. And that's before we talk about it having 7927 and that 12dw7 in the oreamp plus the inductor on the mid switch.
Prolly a good guess why Dumble used SVTs as starting point for Steel String Singer.
Anyways since Skunk used it so much I'd try a JC120 with a compressor in front.
Btw speaking of ancient gear next time I saw him was with Stephen St. Croix the guy behind Ensoniq PARIS and who made the most bitchen rack delay back then...the Marshall Time Modulator. Now that be a cool model!
