Hi there guys!
I am OH lover, nowdays I'm using this ownhammer v3 combo:
Sun V30 EN 16 57-00 + MES-ST V30-EN-08 mix-EWH
(seven string guitar in G# Drop, Djent/progressive metal)

I would like to buy something with the v4 version of ownhammer.
There is no Sun cab in v4 by now but there are a lot of good cabinets.
2x12 and 4x12 Mesas, Bogners, traditional, st.. There are many options.

I have read here good words about:
2x12 MES-RC, 4x12 MES-ST and about the 4x12 Bogner with EDVH, 4x12 Orang...

What would you recommed me for Djent/progressive metal?

Cheers!

i like the rec cab for those tones....
Thanks, I have hear good words about this 2x12.

I really like the Mes-st for those types of tones.
Can't go wrong!
4x12 Mesa is a good begining always.

On top of being a taste thing, there are lots n lots of different tones you can go for in that genre grouping. Name some tones you're a fan of?

Monuments, Pomegranate Tiger, Tesseract, Animals as Leaders, Delusions Of Grandeur, Intervals, Northlane, and so on.

For the MES-ST I highly recommend starting out with the V70 speaker.
Check out the JS mixes.
I made those and I think they work very well for Djent type tones.
I recently made a clip with my 8-string TAM10 and that cab.
It's on my soundcloud page.

4x12 mesa or bogner definitely, with the exception of animals as leaders I'd consider most of those tones to be on the scoopier side of things so the orange would probably to too mid-forward for your style. Not 100% sure but I think the bogner is a v30/t75 mix so I'd pick that

Thanks Jon, I'm fan of your work, I will purchase this for sure and maybe another one.

Thank you. Maybe I try this bogner 4x12 combo or the mesa one.
I normally use this combo: low 6 - mid 3.5 - high 7.5 in a 5150 amp,
with res at 7 and presence at 8, so I guess this is scooped.
