Just curious what the demographics are out there for powered FRFR monitors.

I am in the market for a single powered monitor to use with my rock cover band. Anyone have any glowing remarks about a particular product? How about any not-so-glowing remarks? Please explain how you arrived at your decision before you pulled the trigger on buying one of these items.

Thanks in advance.

Please do a search instead of starting a poll. There are many, many threads on exactly this subject, as well as a variety of opinions on which monitor is "best."

Other: dB Technologies M12-4Plus.

Don't expect it to rip your head off like a Dual Recto 100W could. For that kind of power you need to go pro. M12-4 and, for that matter FBT Verve and K12 too, fall into pro-sumer, weekend warrior range, IMHO. Pro might be the EAW, Meyer, Granit, RH, etc. I think my M12-4 sounds great, though. And it goes loud enough for my band, our drummer is not very hard hitting.

Just snared a QSC K12. I'm loving it. It really sounds like a blanket has been lifted from my sound. Very sweet sound. Highs are musical and lows are punchy.
