What gauge strings are you guys using for drop C

.011 - .015 - 0.019 - 0.028 - 0.038 - .059

Based on my 25.5" scale Strat. From lowest tension in the d-string to highest tension in the low C-string. I buy them as separate D'Addario strings, although I wish Elixir would make the .059 gauge because I use their strings on my other guitars. They tend to be more consistent in tone for a longer time as well, in my experience at least.
 
I use elixir nano web 10-46 in standard E tuning, i'm wondering 12-52 would get close, unfortunately they dont have tension charts
 
You would want something more than 52 on the low string. If there is not enough tension your pick attack will make the pitch go sharp momentarily
 
I just tried 12-52, although the 52 felt good, the rest of the string went into finger chew mode, so i guess i must at 11's
 
Been using 11/49s but bought a guitar setup for 11/52s. Find prefer that so plan use them moving forward.
