What are you listening to right now?

I was at this show. Bobby Rush & KWS were great - classic modern blues with fire guitar. / The KWS band was off the chart. i have seen many of the best...KWS can shred a guitar to fire - very ...very impressed. His live tone matched every guitar he used & u could hear the note decay....very good show.

I like III, but, like you said, it doesn't stand out like I, II, or IV. III is kinda like catching their breath between II and IV.

Every few years, my wife and I rewatch the Lord of the Rings movies. That always makes me think of Immigrant Song, even if it's not a direct reference (like Ramble On and Misty Mountain Hop).
I like IV more than III, but Dazed And Confused, Good Times Bad Times, it just doesn't get much better than that. So good.

Just discovered Mando Diao, a band from Sweden. Their sound has changed over the years. Here's Paralyzed from their debut album in 2002. I feel like I'm listening to a Brit rock band from the 60s!

Always loved absolutely everything about this song, the riffs, the lyrics, the escalating solos, the drum fills at the end - the energy and production sound... it's one of those songs in my "near perfect" list, just like AC/DC's Stiff Upper Lip or Joey Dee's Peppermint Twist (Part 1).

Since I mentioned it. That solo is so melodic, harmonious, playful yet not overly so, it always amazes me how so much feeling can be put into that relatively short time.

And the drums! He's got the perfect groove and he knows it! Just look at that knowing smile while he thrones behind his kit - during the first chorus (0:25), that high hat. I'm sure some people would've hit it all four times, but he leaves the first out, cause it'd be in the way and he knows how to ramp it up.

That's also what I love about Phil Rudd - he knows how not to fire all his guns at once (great, now I'm thinking of "Born to be Wild") and knows how to escalate, when to just leave what stuff out to emphasize certain other things... I'm not very elaborate today, sorry. But "Touch Too Much" is a perfect example:

And I sooo love Bon's lyrics... (not just here, but generally.)
