What aftermarket MIDI controller are you using?

You should be able to control tempo via tap from most midi controllers.
 
Yes you can set tap tempo with the Voes. Just like @unix-guy mentioned most midi controller can do this. The one upside to the RJM is that you get tempo feedback via a flashing display or light (depending on which model you have) on the controller which the Voes doesn't have at this time. I've used the RJM with past pedalboards and they can do anything you want. You want to run your ableton tracks from a PC, no problem, just plug in the USB to your computer and program the mastermind.

I currently use the Voes MX-12 and I like it, but I wish it has some more features similar to the RJM. The button pages on the Mastermind and macros are truly a game changer IMO.
 
I don't remember being able to set the tap on the LF12, or maybe it was just no feedback flashing (guess that's really not a showstopper). RJM Mastermind LT is up for $399 on Reverb, guess I will pull the trigger.
 
Just got my Voes MX 12 pedalboard!

Patrick was so helpful when I was asking my questions, and the item arrived personally set up as in my discussions!
LCD display let’s you know what preset/scene your on, lights for on off effects & an A/B for bank selection or scene/effects!

hi，Can the Rocktron MIDI Raider or All Access achieve synchronized switch states with the Axe-Fx II？ If I use IA Switch #1 to turn on an effect (e.g., delay),Then disable the effect via snapshot switching or manual panel control,
will the LED state of IA Switch #1 update to reflect the actual bypass state?

Still have a Gordius LG2 lying around that I used with rack units, and will use again when I'll get my hands on a FX III. Not on the market anymore but the best and most complete serially produced midi controller ever. Unbeatable, but you need to be used to program a bit. If not check Voes MX series.

Yes... You could actually program "scenes" essentially on the Gordius and not use Axe Fx scenes.

It also permitted to program timer sequences controlling the synths of the axe fx permitting to have like an independent keyboard. Infinite qty length of song lists, infinite patch qty, infinite about everything. I never managed to get to it's limits. Over USB it also could send/receive DAW commands. Really regrettable it was discontinued.

Yes... Much like the Fractal stuff, they have a great amount of depth a flexibility.

One of the things I really like was use of macros. I used that to reassign my expression pedal with a button press and a some other stuff I can't remember :)
 
Had a voes, worked perfectly. I really wanted the screnns for every button so went for an rjm GT22. The axe 3 can do so much and with the gt 22 I am able to access most of it on the fly.
 
I have been using MIDI foot controllers since the 80s, and have had dozens of them. The RJM Mastermind controllers are the best, and most flexible I have ever used.

100% true. The MMGT controllers are a premium product. They are the most powerful, robust, and flexible pedal on the market. Because they are a generic MIDI controller, they require an investment of time to program, but I know of no other controller that puts so much power and programmability at my feet. I'd place the Fractal FC series right behind them based on their power, robust build, and effortless integration into the Fractal ecosystem.
That isn't a knock on any other controllers out there. My statement is basically "this is what works for me". :p I am a nerd, and have nerdy needs.

The LG2 was king (perhaps still is). I have three with a drawer full of new replacement screens. Still, I'm migrating to the Tiny Box. The Mastermind also looks good. Not nearly as powerful as the LG2, but current availability and scribble strips are more than major pluses.
