Volume Levels for Amps

Hi all,

I've got a question. Why is it on my Axe-Fx II that the amp sims have wildly different volume outputs? Some of them (like the Uber) are so loud, it causes clipping. The Recto Orange is much louder than the Recto Red (and that's with the preamp, poweramp & output levels all set the same). Any idea how to make everything the same volume?

Thanks,

Kevin

Kevin, the factory presets have not been "volume leveled" as you have indicated above.
There are a number of ways to fix this... but you will need some form or metering to compare levels against.
Simplest method is to run OUT1 into a mixer and use the dB meters...
You can then use the volume in the output block to "volume level" your presets.

You start with the clean presets, then move to the "dirty" ones.. making them louder or softer as needed.
You can also adjust various level in the amp/effects blocks to get same result, but the Output block is the quickest/easiest.
